A great shame. They have done so much to re-ignite her character after the mess that Danniella Sniffbrook made of her. Sam is one of my favourite characters at the moment, she makes me laugh. Bad move to axe her, when there are deadweights like Rocky, Karen, Mitch, Honey, Tara Misu and Finlay dragging the show down. Kim Medcalf is a great actor and a very natural performer.

I agree that Sam needs a new career and to reinvent herself. An older man might work for her as she's always shagging younger men and not having any commitment.
Kim has certainly made the character more likable than Westcrack ever did.

I really liked the Don guy they brought in a short while ago. They could mellow him to be less threatening. The actor gave it his all for a one or two episode stint.

Yes I feel the same!!!! Bobby beating jane up was one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen in soaps too!! The blood splattering on the cake was so grim. And yet it’s completely forgotten about

she really has! there’s so much potential there, she’s a greta character and she makes sam both likeable and interesting (and completely believable as the one-time spoilt princess of the family). they need characters like her.

like said above, i’d love them to bring back don. the guy went for it like it was his best actor in a leading role opportunity 🤣
 
I was thinking the other day about behind the scenes feuds. The ones I know of are Jessie Wallace and Barbara Windsor (who played Phil's late mother, Peggy). This was around 2010. Barbara Windsor was annoyed that Jessie was turning up to set late. They came to blows and Barbara did a Pier's Morgan Life Stories and said that is why she left the show.

I have also heard that Maggie O'Neil was not liked on set but I cannot find any credible notes to prove this.

June Brown once shouted out of the window to a producer "your storylines are tit!" 🤣🤣

Does anyone have any more to add?
 
I remember in the 00’s when the actresses who played Lyn Slater/Hobbs and Laura Beale had bit of a scrap at some awards show whilst pissed up 😂

Nick Nevern played Sams ex Don and he keeps himself busy doing the Footsoldier films (behind the camera) but I’d be fully loving it if he came back for long term role.

jessie wallace fell out with a lot of the older cast (if i remember correctly!) because they didn’t feel like she took the work seriously - i never knew how bad it had gotten with barbara w though! she and shane richie didn’t speak for a long time but that was apparently out of paranoia due to phone hacking.

danny dyer has made a lot of barbed comments recently about not getting on with steve macfadden.

someone on walford web said leslie grantham was apparently a nightmare and could be needlessly aggressive towards younger actors.

didn’t hannah waterman badly fall out with jessie wallace too?!

Steve McFadden has no chemistry with many of the cast. I get the feeling he can be a piece of work.

I found that there was some tension and cattiness between Kellie Bright and Letitia Dean when they did secrets from the square. Kellie made a remark about Letitia's top and they seemed to be fighting for the limelight.
 
Peggy left quite soon after kat returned in 2010 episodes? So that’s such a short amount of time for Barbara to get fed up of Jessie like only a couple days to quit a show she’d been on almost 20 years?

Jessie returned on screen 21/9/2010 and Barbara left 10/9/2010 so they can’t of worked together 2010, that could’ve been planned as I assume fall out was between 2000-2005 as both were around then maybe management wanted them far away from eachother 🤣

Strange, I remember Barbara definitely saying Jessie was the reason..unless Barbara was referring to a previous stint where she left the show. The actors in EastEnders flounce in and out so often it gets confusing.
 
A lot of celebs have awful wiki photos as you aren’t supposed to use photos unless you have the copyright. Lots of crap fan photos from conventions and things like that. I wonder if some amateur paparazzi went to the funeral and took loads of pics and is trying to get wikifamous.

I’ve always wondered why so many celebs get done dirty with their Wikipedia pictures, never even considered it was a copyright issue 🤣
