They’ve wrecked the Lola storyline with this stupid stalker bollocks. And even while emotional, surely Lola wouldn’t think Jay would cheat? He is completely devoted to her.
I think it was that she was processing her bad news and didn't have it in her to argue about whether or not jay was telling the truth. But she should've believed him over someone who has been in her life for 5 mins

A brain tumour can affect someone's judgement and perception though, Emma is deliberately manipulating that to drive a wedge between Lola and Jay.

I really don't like Emma and the actress looks permanently bewildered. Her character requires being able to express more than one facial expression but she can't deliver that because her face is frozen. 🤣 I find her voice a bit creepy too! I think Lexi is doing a good job though.

I find Freddie a bit of a pointless character but at least he is positive and not horrible. It's odd that his mother doesn't appear to want him to be go to college to get some qualifications and improve his life. It's fine for him to bum around in Albert Square doing odd jobs.

I agree with whoever said that EE were desperate to get a drag Queen on the square for inclusion points, so they got Felix who is also pointless and not a good actor. He's only there to wear drag on the occasions and hasn't been developed at all. Felix hasn't even faced any prejudice yet or had any real storylines that would make him seem like a real person. Did the useless car get towed away?

Harvey used to have a flat, why didn't Jean move in with him?
When we saw Jean's bedroom before it was a small room with a single bed. How on earth could Harvey move all his worldly possessions in there?
Harvey gave up his flat and moved in with Jean because he felt his rent money would be better spent supporting the Slater family. That conversation happened months ago and it hasn't been referenced since as far as I can tell: Stacey has never said "things are always tight but this year, even with Harvey's contribution, I can't make ends meet". Which would be something closer to relatable than a houseful of employed adults struggling to pay rent on a property that used to be rented by far fewer working adults 🤔 Cost of living crisis or no, it doesn't add up.

What is Freddies relationship to the Slaters? Who are his parents? Sorry, I missed when he was introduced!

I really like Freddie he's sweet and a ray of sunshine but he's not being developed very well by the writers! I enjoy his friendship with Bobby but they really need to add a few more younger adults into the mix. EE were always really good at doing that!

I've worked out the problem going on at the moment.

What the writers are doing is introducing storylines, and the characters for the storyline they have written.

But have forgotten to actually "write" the character. So they aren't being developed into real people living their life. And they also don't have a plan for the character beyond the storyline they are introduced for.

They should be doing it the other way around. Introducing characters, building them, developing them and then bringing storylines through naturally for them.

Yes I agree but they've been doing this for years.
They introduce someone for a story and when it's finished the character is sidelined into the background.

Freddie arrived looking for his father then found out it wasn't Billy. Instead of heading home to talk to his mum, he's decided to stay with his broke cousin and her family for no apparent reason 🫠

i’ve already seen people on twitter theorising that ben is going to get an eating disorder storyline (based on food mentions last night) and i swear if they give that character yet another trauma or issue based storyline i will scream 🤣

he is the male whitney.
There's also people theorising that Ben is Ieague with Ravi and that it might be him that Ravi keeps calling.
