I miss Kheerat SO MUCH 😭 His absence is so obvious, i still think him leaving was really odd
It was so odd. I can't remember- did we clarify whether it was the actor's decision to leave or not?
So strange to have been building this character and his family up, be an integral part of major storylines, have him couple up with a long standing character and then boom, leave abruptly midway through a storyline in a totally unbelievable way. Was it a snap decision to have him leave or just bad writing?

it really was bizarre. i can only assume it was the actor’s choice as, like you say, they’d made him the centre of the panesars, coupled him up with stacey, were obviously setting up a big showdown between him and nish….. it made no sense for it to be the show’s decision. it totally muddled up that ravi storyline too, which seemed like it was meant to be something more.

In the show (I wasn't watching at the time)

Kheerat took the rap for the killing of Ravi’s ‘dad’ (well the guy everyone thought was Ravi’s dad) as the evidence was pointing towards Suki and he didn’t want his mum to go to prison. The police just took Kheerat’s word that he did it despite there being no evidence he was even involved in any capacity

Ffs
Thanks for the info!

Chatham & Riley went to live with their dad permanently during the first lockdown so we wouldn’t be seeing them on screen anymore

Bailey has been on screen since covid. According to this she appeared in 19 episodes throughout 2022, which isn’t a lot. Her last appearance was 23rd December. Her last appearance before that was 18th August

I know where Chatham and Riley are, I just think it's odd that Karen never mentions visiting them. Bailey's appearances are blink and you miss them, especially since she was one of the best characters, she's rarely seen and never really mentioned. It's poor writing and characterisation, Karen would be visiting her children all the time and Mitch never mentions Bailey.

It's like they forget about the kids completely, not just the Taylor kids all of them. It wouldn't be so hard to add a few lines about them every now and then, like Tracey was always upstairs listening to her tapes 😂😂

It was the actors decision to leave

Kheerat getting lifed off imo was a stupid storyline they could’ve done a far more realistic exit. So he confesses despite no evidence against him yet Ranveers wife was having an affair with his “son” and looked increasingly shifty every time the plod appeared

Like surely a more realistic exit would’ve been that Kheerat has had enough with the drama and fuckin nonsense that his family are causing so he ups sticks and moves abroad to get away from it all.

Agree ^^ he could have just gone to Mumbai on a business project.

It was just a bizarre ending to a really well done story that had potential to explore more stories - Nish v Kheerat, Nish v Ravi (being the unwanted son), Ravi v Kheerat, Kheerat knowing of Eve and Suki, Kheerat witnessing the change of his mothers relationship, impact of Nishs return on Kheerats relationship with his siblings.

I get Nish is a villain but I'm struggling to accept that after 20 years in prison he seems to have slotted back perfectly into society and his family (bar a couple of scenes of working the till). I'm just not interested in him.
