I liked Jaida, but apart from her “Look over there!” moment didn’t LOVE anything she did. If it were being judged by overall performance Gigi should have won, and quirkiness/uniqueness then Crystal should have, so Jaida’s win surprised me...
 
I’m surprised that Cherry was planning on doing Nikki Grahame for Snatch Game. Cherry’s a mental health nurse and Nikki is a walking bundle of mental health issues.

I remember laughing at her with everyone else back in the day, but I look at her behaviour now and just see anorexia + personality disorder.

Did anyone see Sister Sister wrote a piece in The Guardian about receiving death threats? This fandom 🙄

I think Bimini is a real contender to win now. Crazy that she was in the bottom two the first week!

I know it's petty but it really annoyed me that the judges kept saying she was an amoeba, even after she said she was bacteria.

Anyway I thought this Dazed article was an interesting one. I did think Ru’s outburst was pretty unfair, UK drag is really quite a different beast from the super polished Drag Race world of the US. But a telling off is good for some drama of course!

I like Ginny's contribution in that article. Not sure about some of the others, they seem to be written in that hyper-online way which is obnoxious towards anyone who hasn't got to exactly the same level of wokeness as they have.

I watched Queens in Lockdown and found it really humbling on how much these artists have struggled this year and how tough lockdown has been for them. Most of them had huge income cuts and just desperately wanted to perform and were finding any way they could to be artists (except Cherry who was making herself useful to the NHS in whatever way she could!). Watching that made Ru's rant especially tone deaf.

I totally agree. I watched the 'h&m' episode and was quite entertained by the rant. But then I watched Queens in Lockdown and read about Joe Black selling all of his outfits as he thought he was out and I couldn't stop thinking about his little face nodding and twitching whilst he was sworn at. It sounds very dramatic but I really couldn't get it out of my head for days how tit something like that would make you feel, especially after not being able to work for 7 months. I read somewhere that he has a form of Tourettes and you can really see him blinking lots whilst being 'critiqued'. I nearly messaged him some support but then realised I don't actually know him and that would be weird 🤣🤣🤣

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I really like a’whora. I too think Ru has favoured Lawrence Chaney from day one and I don’t think she’s any better than any of the others

I hoped cherry would come back cos she was my favourite but I think they all voted for Joe Black cos she was the least good so lesser of a threat for them all. Couldn’t stand Ginny lemon.
I know it’s not this series, but I’ve only just started watching recently, but I absolutely LOVED Divina di Campo.

I think LC will probably win this series as in series one, Ru favoured the Vivienne right from the get go

I loved divina too (wait until you get to the song episode 🤣) but my favourite was Cheryl hole!

I think Lawrence will win as well for the same reason. I love Lawrence but yeah, they are clearly Ru's favourite.

I really enjoyed the start of the series because there was a mix of winners (Asttina, Veronica, then Lawrence) and it didn't feel like last year when Viv was the clear winner. Then Lawrence won two more challenges and I was a bit like... meh, ok, but there are other queens who are doing just as well here. The Eurovision didn't need to have four winners, they usually choose one winner from the best group so that was a bit odd to me.

I loved Sum Ting Wong but wished he would have taken notice of advice given because I think it was well meant (from the other queens). The only thing that annoyed me about her was the amount of highlighter she used around her eyes. It's the same on her instagram. She always looks like she has fallen asleep with big sunglasses on.

She fucked herself big style with that David Attenborough in the Snatch Game. She would have been ace as Nigella but maybe she was worried she wouldn't be able to beat Blu with all the filth that came out of Mary Berry's mouth! All she would have needed was a banana, some melted chocolate and whipped cream and she would have killed it!
