Dr Katie

She neglects to mention the area she is from is one of the most affluent in Scotland with one of the highest performing secondary schools. Her mum is very well spoken, prim and proper and so is she.

From medi recruit 'The average annual salary for a consultant paediatrician in Australia ranges from AUD$250,000 to AUD$450,000.' that's £137k - £237k. An amazing salary she has no doubt worked hard for, but it's not frequent £12k flights kind of rich when there are four of you to support and the cost of living in Aus is high. It's a tough job, she should earn well and have nice things (UK doctor pay is shocking in comparison) but I don't think she's being entirely honest that they live on her income alone and don't have other investments or income.

💯
Does she honestly think we are all stupid! And of course she’s pumping out her children online and will also be making some money from tik tok also now. If she was in the UK she wouldn’t be allowed to pimp herself out as much as she does as the nhs have stricter social media rules (as they should!). Anyway as I always say, money shouts, wealth whispers

Enjoy your flights Katie. My heart bleeds for you poor babies who have zero privacy and the humiliation of telling everyone that wee Amelia sleeps in her clothes she wears all day. She deserves better. Put your phone down and be a mum

Also to add Katie since you read here, no one thinks you were born into money. We think your husband has some sort of income because unless you are a magic doctor, yearly first class flights won’t be sustainable on your salary while you supposedly support your husband and entire family. Also she’s said before - her husband upgraded her flight…. Your husband who doesn’t work and you support. Yeah yeah.

Her latest reel explaining her humble beginning and basically saying she earns the money to pay for her first class flights seems like a response to this thread.
Still hard to believe though - my husband earns more than her and I work too - no way we could afford first class flights or matching teslas on the driveway!

I reckon both of their parents have money. Just because they might not have when she was a child doesn’t mean they don’t now - lots of people’s parents become richer when the kids are older either via older relatives passing on so they inherit or both having more time to work/devote to a business etc.

Her wage may well be paying specifically for the first class flights, I don’t think anyone on this thread has said her wage isn’t enough for flights alone, but then who’s paying for everything else in their lives?

Yes exactly! Her salary covers everything. Mortgage, cars, holidays … everything. So while yes a good salary when you divide it in two as it’s basically their joint income , it’s not let’s go first class flights every where type salary.

Looking at their lifestyle they don’t do much. No extravagant holidays - minus the first class flights ofc to the UK, no concerts, fancy restaurants or generally taking their kids places. It may be because she’s constantly pregnant though.

I’ve always assumed her husbands family have money. Im not sure why but I think she mentioned something a while back about his family owning a farm and whatever it was I was like aah they’re rich

She stayed somewhere very fancy in Dubai before the baby was born and flew first class there too.

Maybe they don’t have a mortgage - but even so the lifestyle doesn’t match the salary. Plus she’s been on maternity leave almost constantly for the last 2+ years - she can’t be getting full pay all the time can she?

I assumed that was paid for by her work as it was a work conference she was at. Her flight was business class and she then said her husband upgraded her to first class because she was pregnant

Oh maybe. Can’t see any health service in this part of the world paying for a hotel room like that but it could be different in Australia.

She said they get a sort of learning allowance from work to spend on conferences and courses and that's what she used hers on. But that's she'd paid for extra nights and flight upgrade herself, if I'm remembering correctly.

If i travel for work it's economy class ,a travel lodge and £15 for dinner 🤣.

Yeah I wasn’t even allowed to book a flexible train fare recently 😂

Katie has mentioned her “step dad” several times, who was left out of her video the other day about her background. Very possible he’s quite well off and provides her mother with the nice house and holidays etc now. Also possible her actual dad, although she said he wasn’t around much, had a professional background and her mum was a housewife (Katie is 1 of 4) until he left. She does come across a bit prim so it wouldn’t surprise me.

As for Katie’s husband (Tim), I agree with others about him coming from money, probably farming. She did a video about him once where she said he has a degree in business management, and I think it’s likely he owns a stake of/is a significant shareholder in a family business and gets regular payouts from that as income while being a SAHD.
