Ive just listened to the bbc scotland doc who killed Emma, there is a doc on bbc I’m going to start about Emma Caldwell

There one on channel 4 around 2005 it was about people in a rehab facility coming off heroin and prescription drugs etc. It was a a british program,
Showed all the side effects, withdrawal etc. I was at uni at the time and found it fascinating!

Oh and the one with parents and their kids also on channel 4 all in a big house for an experiment?

Was this program on every day for a week or so in the morning? I remember watching something like that at uni too and it was fascinating but felt a bit awful for the people being on TV at their most vulnerable.

I remember a documentary I watched about 20 years ago on BBC one about a young girl been to prison if I remember correctly. she had a really sad life, she was trying, pregnant had a child the child got taken off of her, she got pregnant again and bbc followed her I think 7 years apart. I always wonder if her baby and her family she made me got a decent life in the end. I think she lived in east London.

Apologies if this has been mentioned pages back but the BBC series Life and Death Row. There was an episode where a boy had been killed by two of his friends in his house and they dumped his body in the snow miles away. His mother was describing how awful it was that he was in the snow alone, and that she had stayed living in the same house he was killed in because she still felt close to him there. As a mum with a son it broke my heart.

It’s still on iplayer, season 2 episode 4.

Does anyone remember a show about couples planning their weddings? It was on ITV about 15 years ago. One was a teenage girl marrying an older man and everyone was convinced they wouldn’t last. They did a follow up a few years later to see which couples had made it. The couple in question were still going strong.
Wasn’t for better for worse? They use to do update every 7 years or so.

This guy married the babysitter in 1998 they split up several years ago this was the last update from 2012 they haven’t done anymore since.

I remember Shattered (the show where they had to stay awake) and Space Cadets! Also Touch The Truck was on around the same time, although that was Channel 5.

I seem to remember there was a bit of backlash to Shattered and they never did it again. It was cruel.

Does anyone remember the original Eden on Channel 4 in the early 2000s? It was the start of Rav Wilding’s career. My sister and I were absolutely obsessed with that show. It was a precursor to Shipwrecked & I’m A Celeb:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eden_(2002_TV_series)

Another one I think of sometimes, although it was much more recent, is Big Ballet - a docu series about larger people joining a special ballet. I always thought Wayne Sleep was a bit crappy to them, kept saying nasty things and then claiming they needed to toughen up.

Reminds me of that one on channel 4 a few years ago that was set on an island where they put people together who supposedly had a 'special skill' that they could bring to the group. The whole thing ended up a train wreck and they had to abandon it in the end. Think one ended up living on his own, there was a few fights and they kept breaking the rules of outside contact.

Can't remember unfortunately, it was something similar to Eden I'm sure.

Sorry if this off topic but anyone remember that show where they tricked people into thinking they went to the moon but it was a hoax 🤣 ( I'm not a conspiracy theorist this was an actual show lol)
They got fake Russian astronauts to train them and stuff
I loved this! I actually rewatched it all again about 5 years ago 🤣 it was hilarious

Sorry if this has been mentioned before. There’s a mini-documentary on YouTube about the Sewol ferry disaster in South Korea. The ship sunk in 2014 killing 304 passengers, most of which were children. It’s heartbreaking to watch and it’ll make you angry for days afterwards.
