One I just thought of was about 7ish years ago. A group of youngsters who had been in trouble with police/school etc were given job opportunities. They all shared a house but each had a different job to go to. One guy worked with a butcher and he really turned himself around, I wonder how he is doing now.
I watched this one! Cant remember what it was called, I'm sure one was a fisherman aswell?

Love this thread! I always think about a BBC doc I watched called 'madness in the fast lane' about two twins who threw themselves in to oncoming traffic on the motorway, it was later said they were going through a bout of psychosis. So interesting/crazy to watch - it's on YouTube. Just saw some info about them on Wiki but no recent updates

I didn’t see the doc but read about it (or something similar) and one or both of them also stabbed a man. Is that the same one or a different incident?

The Clark brothers. It was a documentary called The Brothers Who Aged Backwards, and it was about two brothers who both had been diagnosed with terminal leukodystrophy and began to regress from adulthood to child-like behaviour. They had both been developing typically until then, one was ex RAF and the other had been married and had a child. I was saddened to read that they’d both passed away. Just heartbreaking 😔

I don't watch one born every minute, just bits and pieces when I'm looking what's on TV. I'll always remember Heather and Danny. They were the fashion designers who hadn't done any labour prep but had an amazing birth. Judging from Instagram they now have three kids and went into catering. I don't have kids but I'd love a birth like hers. Was so different to the usual births on there in that it was pretty calm and peaceful. This was the couple below.

Omg he kept saying ‘this is Disney babes’ during her labour and my husband thought it would be hilarious to say it during mine 🤣

Yes I loved this! Didn’t they argue about money/house food shopping etc
There was also one similar about a group of young people who were put in charge of essentially running a summer school type thing?

They were on a version of the show when the children watched the episode where they were born. That is quite a few years old now.

That was them- I’ve listened to a podcast on them before? The case is actually super tragic. Can’t remember the podcast- will have a look and come back.
S’laughter episode 57

Peter Marsh from come dine with me. Still cracks me up to this day. Such a sore loser. Link below if you don’t know about him

Also still wonder about Steven Avery and his nephew from Making a murderer. It was a complete setup

PS: I see your CDWM cringe-fest and raise you with this one.

In the preceding episodes, the angry man was seemingly very pleasant and people thought he might get together with the lady on his right.

The Northern Irish bloke in my opinion wasn't being rude, he was just having a bit of banter.

When I saw this episode at the time of broadcast, the way the host just flipped made me feel really uncomfortable. (Although, there could have been something not in the final edit that explained it?) I've seen that sort of behaviour in violent narcissists before and think the lady to his right had a lucky escape.

Bet the CDWM producers were rubbing their hands at the big bully and big baby.

Yes! Some were trying to be sensible and others just wanted to just drink and not bother with the work. I don’t remember the summer school one but sounds like something I would have watched!

Great thread.

Quite a few. One in particular stands out. Watched Children's Hospital on BBC one summer after having my tonsils out (1999?). It was on every week day morning just after the news. There was a little boy on there who I think was called Ali(?). Absolutely lovely- making jokes and just being incredible despite having what I think was leukemia On the last episode the screen went blank and we were told he'd lost his battle and died. Even though I was only young myself, it really stuck with me. I hope his family are well and, if they ever saw this, can take some comfort knowing that, 21 years later, their little boy is still fondly remembered in the heart and mind of a stranger.
