I’d be also really interested to know exactly how much he pays his wife and exactly what she does for the pay. One way of being “truthful” about paying yourself nothing but also taking a wage indirectly would be to pay your wife a very good wage for little work which it was widely rumoured he was doing.

Assuming this is real, how will this get through his checks?

1. Why has Christmas wiped you out? Have you overspent?
2. Your salary automatically switches to maternity pay and it sounds like that hasn’t happened yet so you’re still being paid a normal wage. Again, have you overspent?
3. No offer of repayment?

The slightest bit of investigation into this shows it’s nothing more than smoke and mirrors. The only thing to come from this post is that apparently someone has overspent and now wants money to subsidise them until their next salary. How does this get through but lots of other more deserving ones don’t?

He knows baby banks exist (there’s one local to him). He chooses to ignore best practice
 
He’s recycling old photos again.
And apparently collected present donations , as if it was for low income families this Christmas , but is now using them as prizes for a tombola? Sounds doooooodgyyyy

Bloody hell the last few months have been an eye-opener.

Always thought he was a good egg although I never liked his performative “zero cost” invoices, but I saw his donation to Sarah JJ and now all of this… really uncomfortable and the thought of donating to him so he can whack over £450 to her… and then from what I’ve read in this thread… yikes.

Really sad. Thought he was genuinely a good one and nobody would’ve begrudged him taking a salary from his work but yet again, he’s all about the grift and self-serving pats on the back. Yuk. Him and Jack Monroe have killed any chance of me ever donating to a GFM / Crowdfunder ever again. Shameless snakes. :(

So my understanding is the presents are donated, then he charges people £10 for p & p? So Depher basically bears no costs at all in the whole thing? Despite regularly getting donations for it.
The whole enterprise stinks to high heaven. And his attitude does not help.
(It's been bugging me who he looks like and it's Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards).

I thought he was doing good with the plumbing initiative. I do think that meant well when it started. .

He however now loves the attention and believes his own hype and something now just doesn’t sit right . He asks for donations constantly for one thing but then starts for another, plumbing, heating then food then electric/gas then toys.

It’s all well and good but there are charities all over the place that focus on those, why not stick to one thing. It’s still a worthwhile cause! Claiming he had no funds for the continuing gas/elec/food support but now blaming ‘trolls’ who actually seem to just be asking questions about his authenticity.

Why not work with others?signpost etc

He claims to have applied for charity status but gets turned down, why? He never says.
 
I hate how he makes out that "he" is doing everything for free when he's not; free work is funded through donations/other paid work.

I also hate the stupid Bluetooth thing he always wears in his ear.

He's also a proven liar; he claimed for ages that a racist FB post had been photoshopped, and then finally admitted that he'd posted it but it was a "mistake".

I could go on and on. I've suspected all is not as it seems for a while, and I'm so glad lots & lots of others are questioning him too now.
