She came out and did a duet with him at the gig I was at. Totally ruined the vibe. She was shite and I almost ripped my own ears off just to make it stop
That’s how I felt too. Don’t get me wrong she has a nice voice, but it’s not strong enough and she doesn’t have the stage presence. Maybe she’ll get it when she gains more confidence, but these duets just don’t do it for me

Yes indeed. That’s why I am so fecked off, rock stars gonna rock star don’t come at me with “rock star cheats SHOCK”, like we’re all wall flowers for having a reaction, those women have been humiliated. It’s hateful.

Been wondering lately if this nepo baby thing needs reigning in a bit. Slash’s partner’s daughter ( her father has been specific that she was not Slash’s step daughter, the press just went overboard on that) ended her life and referenced being a nepo baby on her post death scheduled Instagram post.

This ridiculous thing of bringing their kids out to perform at their shows that people have paid a lot of money for really has to stop. Mcfly do it too and who the duck cares about your children?? Would be different if the parent comes out as a special guest at the kids own gig then it's a nice surprise 🤣

Can anyone think of successful, genuinely talented nepo babies?

The only successful nepo baby i can think of is Rufus Tiger Taylor, Roger Taylor's son. But he has actual talent. Yes he's had the best tuition as a drummer and then his dad's connections, but without talent it would have meant nothing - he's a highly regarded drummer in his own right (I know nowt about drumming, but have read a fair bit of praise from those in the know). He's also not appeared to chase fame, he's in it for the music.

Michael Douglas? Or are you thinking music only? Liza Minelli.

The only one I think is really good is Ringo Starr’s Son, Zak Starkey. He often drums for The Who and imo he’s brilliant. His first drum kit was gifted to him from Keith Moon so that’s pretty cool too.

I love Miley Cyrus how could I have forgotten she is a nepo baby!

Agree fully that they're damned if they do/damned if they don't. I suppose it's one thing to use your parents connections to get ahead, but another to be dragged up on stage and forced onto an audience who aren't there to see you.

I see Shane Hawkins lauded as another potentially great drummer too, he came out with the Foos a few times in the UK but that was more as a nod to his dad that being inflicted upon the audience.

Jamie Lee Curtis. Seems a pretty brilliant human.
