So as an observer this is very bewildering.
Dan's put his prices UP, because what they offer is apparently so world leading £25 just wasn't enough. Now he's saying sorry for dropping the ball and letting customers down, but they're improving the service to be better. I don't understand how these 2 states are possible simultaneously outside quantum super positioning.
Either everyone is a happy customer and you have your stuff together so much, that you can justify a price increase. Or you've let your customers down and now need to rebuild bridges. If the latter is the case the price should be lowered if anything.
I saw in the comments he's asking people for another chance, whereby they signup as paying members at the new higher price (not an offer of a refund or a free month to compensate them).
He also said that the price was going up because people only commit if they have to sacrifice something and £25 wasn’t a big enough sacrifice. Basically, telling all his current members they weren’t committed enough or trying hard enough
This is exactly me, for many years now. The current implosion will be his third complete cycle that I have witnessed:
1. DW gains some amount of success.
2. It goes to his head and he loses control, leading to the inevitable…
3. Car crash!
4. Tears, apologies and promises to change.
…repeat…
When is the crying, pissed, sat in a pub garden post ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’ TT/FB post due again?
