I'm not too worried as my uni housemates have been in some contact with people who then tested positive but they themselves never got COVID, leading me to believe that we have some natural immunity left

You don't need to isolate until the tracers contact you

Fellow Canadian (Alberta)!! We do not have lateral flow tests here either although I kinda wish that we did. I have to admit I am curious how our province will do with Stampede coming up this week. I think it could be folks from rural areas that are unvaccinated that could get sick and then take it back to their small town. I am def not going to Stampede and even though I am double vaxxed will be wearing my mask for a while after to observe how the numbers go.... I hope they do not increase too much.

I didn’t realize the stampede was so soon! I’m in Ontario. It is so interesting how it varies province to province.
Our cases are going down here, but we are the only province who doesn’t have indoor dining at the moment. People are going a bit stir crazy. Im hoping Canada is past the worst of it all

I cannot wait to be able to go back to a bar to queue for a drink again. Most places I visit for a drink in town have their own app and they want you to download it. I don't want my phone memory taken up with half a dozen hospitality apps. I want to stand at a bar, hand over a note, and take my drink back to my seat and that's if I decide I want to sit.

I’ve loved table service, no stresses about getting served and ordering on an app.

Would happily pay more and go to bars where you could book this, all my female friends are the same.

Decisions, decisions! Crowd at the bar waving notes and hoping to be the first "when you're ready", or lounging in the comfort of a seat and needing only to (electronically) speak the words "Oi garkon" :)

Australia are not providing the health service expected of them to allow 600 healthy people isolate at the same time. They need to get them back to work.

If they’re letting it run wild here who is going to man the hospitals if staff are ill 🤧

Back to homeschooling if teachers are ill 🤷🏼‍♀️They’ll still be a lot of disruption even if hospitals can cope.
 
Advice needed.
Was out at families on Saturday night watching the football. Got my positive pcr this morning. I've contacted everyone to let them know but they're all stressing because their work places are asking for proof but I've not been contacted by track and trace yet so can't pass on their details. I'm getting it in her neck from them all and it's stressing me out

Yup!

Just found out that despite my daughter being free from isolation tonight her nursery can’t reopen until later in the week because even more people are isolating. How can people go to work?!

We’ve already got Tesco etc sending staff around to supermarkets. The country will grind to a halt!

Thank you. This was exactly my response too. I've heard of some people not even getting a call from track and trace

Track and trace will contact them if applicable. They can’t do anything until they are formally contacted.
