Those on a ventilator has gone up and we are back over a thousand in hospital for the first time in a while when it was around 850 the other week at our lowest point since September.
But actual daily admissions are staying pretty static still, it’s hovered between 100-150 since 18th May now.

From what I’ve seen the admissions are pretty short and less serious. So a lot are also being discharged every dayBut actual daily admissions are staying pretty static still, it’s hovered between 100-150 since 18th May now.
I would expect that given that, the number on ventilators and in hospital would rise as admissions aren’t falling and less people are dying, so more are being treated.
They say around 8 in 10 adults have antibodies but “antibodies are not a precise measure of immunity protection from vaccination, nor a clear indication of herd immunity levels.”

My mum and aunt took part in an antibody study, wasn’t ONS but I assume the info was used for this.
According to this it’s young people being admitted
I’m not shocked at all, every single ones of my friends and colleagues in this age group has already booked! I’m in this group and booked as soon as I got my message.
According to the ONS there’s a lot of hesitancy amongst the youngYounger adults but still includes 15 years of vulnerable people (50-64).
Scottish school dataWe need a crack at opening up as per the road map. At least then we would get a few months of enjoying being out and about before the inevitable winter rush starts and we all get back on the lockdown merry go round. I’m done with it now. I’ve been vaccinated, I’ve stayed home, I’ve protected the NHS, my (everyone’s) children‘s education has suffered, the economy is on its knees, most people are sick of it and rightly so.
I’m no scientist but if you open up society before “everyone” has the opportunity to be immunised of course hospital admissions are going to go up.
No doubt even after all adults have been offered they will still be higher than pre covid because a % of people cant or won’t have a vaccine
FFS we just need to crack on with life
Amazing after all the whinging that younger people wouldn’t have one!
