Instead of naming variants after places ie Kent varient, we are now naming them after Greek letters eg delta variant

Looks like England Road map date 21 June is going to be delayed, media speculating between 2-4 weeks.

I believe Scotland, Wales and Ireland are still pretty locked down (please correct me if I'm wrong!)

Starmer came across well on Life Stories and showed some personality for once. I hope the bland fence sitter we see in parliament is now a thing of the past and today he really goes for Boris and backs June 21st to show some opposition instead of agreeing so much with every delay and restriction, giving voters no party to feel close to.

I just walked my dog around the local area and there was an elderly lady wearing a face mask who was walking towards me, I moved out of the way for her but she crossed the street as she got close and probably thought because of my age I probably wasn’t vaccinated (when I’ve been fully lol). She looked genuinely worried and it made me feel sad for her because she most likely has been vaccinated and feels threatened by others still.

The WHO are naming variants after the Greek alphabet rather than countries/places so to not offend BUT I don’t know whether I should be offended they’re naming the variants after the Greek alphabet when I am Greek. 😂

Better yet, name them after ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, that way we can do the whole "'what's the one with the bird flapping its wing"' gag and then have some jolly jesting about which variant gets to be called 'reeds, feather, urinating dog, urinating dog' 😇

This is getting really silly now. This the 15th letter they have sent me, alongside 52 text messages and 3 phone conversations. I have opted out multiple times. If an ex partner was harassing me like this I'd be getting a restraining order against them.

If, and its looking more than likely when they do delay it ,like I predicted, we can expect to be messed about for the rest of the year , if the public accept this bullshit without any force then the government has us by the balls , they will never ever open up fully this year until June 2022 when they next pretend we can be free.

How they can expect any change in a 2 week delay I dont know , they are trying to make us believe that it's so bad they can't give us freedom , but they will let us know in 2 weeks , its bullshit , this delay needs fighting otherwise we will be Boris's prison bitch for however long he lasts in power.

Without a doubt now , If we have a delay even by 2 weeks , after a week they will announce another 2 weeks after that, the numbers will never drop below where we are, the scientists are looking for the impossible and by then we are into late July, we are in the best possible time of year for this virus , they will be dragging us into autumn with delays and different restrictions and then numbers obviously rise due to seasons , and then we are in trouble, because they will use the natural increase as a justification as to why we arent free , you can guarantee we will he locked up all winter for another 4 months , so for getting on for over 2 and a half years we will have been under lockdown

Anyone saying we need to be cautious is complying with this government essentially keeping us all prisoners to a virus that is barely any risk to 90% of us , its an utter disgrace our liberties and rights are being violated using a virus we have all been vaccinated against as the excuse

Ohhhhhh so that's it , I get it now , Autumn boosters , the rich and those that have money invested in the vaccine want to become richer even more , they want to delay opening until autumn to force everyone including children to have the jab , and when they have wrung every penny from that , then HOORAY its the autumn booster jab , so off we pop 6 miles out of town to queue up once again for the BOOSTER , awwwww but sadly the death rates have gone up , so sorry everyone despite the boosters we can't reopen , try again for the Spring booster , and on and on and on and on , I bet these scientists have invested into all this, there is no logical reason for us not to get back to normality except people making money.

Scotland is a bit of a mix. We are still using the level system and there are some areas in Level 1 and some areas in Level 2. Some islands are level 0. Although in a way this is still some version of being "locked down", it doesn't feel like it at least where I am in the central belt where we had been in level 3 or above from around September last year. Shops are open, gyms are open, pubs are open and you can drink inside, you don't need to social distance in a private home or garden. The main thing people are citing as the difference between level 1 and 2 is soft plays, as they are allowed to open at level 1 but not at level 2. The other differences are mainly around how many people can meet together indoors and outdoors but it's not a big difference. Weddings the increase is from 50 at level 2 to 100 at level 1.

More good news :) People still wrongly think that only having the vaccine protects you from covid. Yes it helps you more than anything else but if you've already had covid, plus T cells then most people already have some natural protection even without the jab.

How do they know this? Has anyone on here had an antibody test ! They want testing to be part of normal life going forward

That makes sense. If an area doesn't have covid or has very little then delay giving younger people the jab simply because of their age and get down the age groups quicker in higher risk areas.

They’re saying half of under 25’s in Wales have antibodies, just as well ,cases are rising everywhere going by today’s numbers , hope healthcare stays put.

They say around 8 in 10 adults have antibodies but “antibodies are not a precise measure of immunity protection from vaccination, nor a clear indication of herd immunity levels.”

Yeah but how can they claim that without testing the adult population, surely they mean out of the adult population that they tested , I’ve never been asked to test nor has anyone I know.
