It is a good idea in principle but I just can’t see it working at the moment.

The passport will allow for testing too so if someone doesn't want a vaccine they can go for a swab test and have the result recorded on the app.

Two month high with cases. Still no big rise in hospital numbers. Infact they have gone down from 954 UK patients yesterday.
 
Why is this clown doing this , this criminal liar should have been sacked , Is the new person another one of his friends earning millions

I literally hate these people , nothing they say is true , Johnson probably doesn't believe in the virus still like he didn't in February

When is Hancock going to be held to account , when is he going to prove he isn't a liar , why is Hancock doing this after all the claims yesterday , they were career destroying and as much as I despise Cummings I believe him over johnson and Hancock

👏👏 Matt Hancock has just been in it for himself the whole time. Giving those contracts to friends/family then preaching about how he’s done his best during the pandemic? He’s an idiot!

Three quarters of cases now the Indian variant. I hope the charlatans in charge don't dare slow down coming out of this mess.
 
It just feels wrong having this liar telling us information, to me it shows total arrogance of this government , this should have been someone else while Johnson and Hancock were in front of a panel digging deep into their lies and corruption , it feels like we live in a 70s dictatorship where the leaders do what they like and are never held accountable

We all know the government made a tit tone of mistakes I’d much rather we focus on ending the pandemic now tbh

for me this is why i think someone else should have done this , through their arrogance though they have turned a press conference about the pandemic into a Hancock thing , i cant help raging that he is on tv acting like nothing has happened , when anyone gets accused of something they are relived of duties pending a hearing , that i think would have made the pandemic the focus if hancock was taken off these kinds of things until he proves he isnt a liar, personally i think the accusations are true, therefore when he speaks i dont listen , which is another reason it should have been someone else

Look at the state people are in. Not even being vaccinated stops them being scared. Government and the media have a lot to answer to. As long as masks get scrapped everywhere so people only wear through choice I don"t mind.

We all know how these surveys and polls are cleverly worded to give that answer. There is absolutely no way time after time that people would give these answers. I definitely don't agree with the psychological warfare though, very sad and fixed surveys like that are part of that the psychology too.
 
Hancock is the kid at school whose dog ate his homework every time, the selective amnesia is creeping in now - he still has the video on his Twitter about testing every care home resident before sending them back to the home from hospital, it is there for all to see. Yet "In my recollection....." he has another narrative. It makes me so cross that they are so arrogant and assume we are stupid little sheep who will just believe them hook, line and sinker.

I just hope enough people are paying attention while these buffoons in charge throw themselves under the bus.

All going well for Mr Sarah Vine. First he has Cummings leave him alone and now he might get people on side by scrapping the terrible vaccine passport idea. His already short odds to be the next PM will decrease further.
 
Hancock has just put himself into checkmate , he claims that it wasn't people going from hospital into care homes ( his fault and lies) he then blamed it on care workers going in and out , so who was it who sorted out the PPE , that's right Hancocks friend , so not only did and is still lying about the people going into care homes, but he blames care workers who couldn't wear PPE because it was utter shite stuff that wasn't fit for purpose

He has the cheek to bleeping huff and puff and whine about answering questions , then says he is proud of himself , the bastard need prison to give him a bit of a reality check
 
I applaud the initiative to offer vaccinations without insisting on documents as that's the only way some people will be reached - but OMG these pictures. Just how many people are in the country off-record and not signed up to GPs etc? There's a lot of people in these pics that are clearly well over 30 so should have been offered the vaccine through normal channels well before now.

When the system works it’s fine but, I was eligible for my jab in feb but was unable to book, I kept being told by 119 they would sort it and call me back. They didn’t I finally got my jabs 6 weeks later. A month after that I get a letter telling me to book a vaccination. If I had had the Pfizer I could have had my 2nd today just by walking into a pharmacy

I've said all along its this that is one of the reasons the government won't give us freedom

They will not give us freedom while paying people money for being off work , they won't allow people to be in pubs all day and night whole off work , the furlough us on till September, I said on a forum once furlough was extended that we wouldn't be free in June, I thought and hoped I was wrong , now I believe we won't be free until September, unless they end the furlough early or the public go out onto the streets to stop this government

Bolton variant and Indian variants , are all excuses to keep us locked down , we are locked down now just in teir 2

How is discrimination ever a good idea? It shouldn't be introduced if any proportion of the population haven't been vaccinated through choice or not. And who has said there will be domestic vaccine passports, that's just a theory at this point. I can see why they may implement it for travel but domestic passports really isn't on in my book and i do not think it will ever happen either

I didn’t say it was a good idea, I meant it’s a good ‘thought’ if you like.

My point is it isn’t a good idea and it will never work. It SOUNDS good in principle but considering how many people would be excluded, it’s a non starter. It has a chance of working in some sense when more people have been vaccinated but I don’t see how it will ever work regardless. You can’t ban people from places based on their vaccine status. When it was first announced it was going round that it would be introduced everywhere not just for travel, hence my comment about pubs/restaurants.
