My husband is joining me in 12 weeks isolation as of tomorrow. So relieved his work has been so understanding, his boss is also going into isolation to protect his pregnant wife. I really feel for those who live alone and have who nobody, and who must isolate to protect themselves. The loneliness would be horrific..

He is normally such a cool and collected person and he cried tonight when he got home because he is worried so much about me :( this is already having a huge effect on the mental health of thousands, and the worst part is there is worse to come and I think there's still a huge portion of people NOT taking this seriously at all.
I’m glad you are both in this together I’m sure the 12 weeks will go faster than you think and at least you know you are going to be safe now .

Had to go into town today which was very quiet but went into Morrison and it was absolutely heaving at the till point and self serve.
The shelves were absolutely bare everywhere from pizza and meat to fruit and bread absolutely nothing on the shelves I haven’t seen a big supermarket like that until tonight

My Dad is SUPPOSED to be self isolating. But alas he’s been out all day.

Any tips/advice? He’s not staying in and doesn’t care and I’m so anxious and worried

I feel for you - and anyone with older relatives who are appearing so blasé about it all. I think until they feel the anxiety and reality of it all, theres' no amount of nagging in the world that will persuade them to stay put. However, you could always make them feel guilty by saying that they are putting the family at risk, or plain old "If you insist on going out, I have to keep my distance". Obviously its hard for them, and also us, but you need to keep yourself strong for the rest of your family, and if you are stressing about what is essentially someone having a strop because "No bloody government is going to tell me if I can go out or not" then you need to have that conversation with them

Today it's showing a case a few minutes from here, the 1st in the borough (tested) but it's not been announced in the local news etc...?!
Haven’t got a clue! We still don’t know exact locations of places in the lothians unless you’ve heard it from word of mouth which is absolutely horrendous!

With the talk of numbers/cases not matching what we know personally for our areas, my partners working in alder hey and theres a few kids with it and others on the same wards are being monitored incase it spreads yet nothing has been reported in liverpool news and no new cases confirmed, maybe its because its kids but surely that should push it more to show the threat?

Another brilliant piece of work from Mona. She’s killing it at the minute I have to say.

Im not sure. Iv been saying for a couple of days if not is eligible for testing I don't trust the numbers anyways 😔
I think they only test if a person ends up in hospital. This is what scares me....people who are wandering around "self isolating" or even contagious without having symptoms. I'm not letting myself think about that, and you try not to either. All we can do is keep ourselves as safe and as clean as possible :cautious:

Perhaps, I was talking about the Liverpool area too. I had no idea there was more than 1 case in Alder Hey.

Can they announce it tho? I heard from a friend that there was a case just 10 mins away from me, and that's never been announced. Where is the map you use? I'm curious to see if its more specific than the one I've been on

I went to my hairdressers today and they are doing exactly that, well the cleaning the stations at least. My appointment started later but it was cleaned before they say me down and started cleaning as soon as I'd finished.

She also opens now an hour later to deep clean at the start and end of each day.

Mines next due in a months time but I’ve bought some hair dye in case I won’t be able to go.
(I know strange 😂 i haven’t bought anything else out of the ordinary)
