I think it all depends on if the head contacts the department of education or if she decides to develop a heart. She did seem pleased that we're not treating it as a holiday and that I will be expecting the kids to get up and do their work as if it were a school day. I guess time will tell
I think they can’t be seen to be okay about it. I wrote to the head asking for permission to take my smalls out of school to go on holiday (I know. I was also up for the mother of the year award 😆). I received a reply saying that she would not authorise it and it would go on their files as unauthorised absence.

I hope they don’t fine you x

Yay 😁 Hopefully now that the Pfizer one can kick things off, the Oxford vaccine will also be approved & we can get the mass vaccination well and truly going!

(Oxford vaccine is the normal fridge/longer shelf life one while the Pfizer one has more transportation & storage requirements)

so nice to wake up to positive news today! I hope they can roll it out to the elderly/vulnerable as soon as possible - I guess once these guys are protected the rest of us can have more freedoms or am I wrong to think that? Otherwise its going to be a longgggg time before I have the vaccine offered to me!
I hope that’s the case or I’m also in it for the long haul😅😂 I imagine the healthy, younger ones will be allowed more freedom since we know the virus often isn’t deadly to us.

Finally some good news!

My partner and I broke up yesterday after 3 years and I was sinking a bit but this has given me a much needed boost.

I won’t be high on the priority list for vaccination but the end is in sight a bit I feel at last. It’s all so emotional, I know it won’t change overnight but just the thought of hugging my mum again is amazing (haven’t since march) ❤️

Hope you are ok Xxx

I’m just so happy for my Nan. She’s old with underlying health problems but very able bodied and young at heart so she has a very busy social life😂 seeing her so depressed this year has been awful. I feel emotional at the thought of how happy she’ll be to be able to get back to the social club and bingo again 😅🤩🤩

ETA - I know vulnerable will come after NHS but it’s in sight!
