I love how everyone is cracking open wine and ordering food like it's peak saturday night tv. they should make it a proper event, have Ant and Dec host, few games before it, then the announcment, then simon cowell comes on and tells Boris what he thinks. Maybe a few live performances from artists, a competition where you win a static caravan

I have a little sister and I teach online, surprise. Is it better to teach in real person? Yes. Is it important that people can still have an income? Also yes.
 
Perhaps its because its Halloween. Perhaps its because I'll be spending tonight on my own (now that my g/f is feeling "unwell"); perhaps because it is raining and extremely windy outside, and will be right through until tomorrow night. But for the first time in a long time I have a general sense of unease as I sit here in my home and wondering what Boris will be announcing next, and what he hopes will come of it.

In essence I guess I am afraid, scared, call it what you will. But there is definitely a sense of foreboding and dread that I've been picking up on over the last few days, and I think as we approach a hard cold winter, this pandemic is going to be a test of mental strength for a lot of people to deal with.

I have the feeling we're approaching civil anarchy/disobedience, with rioting/looting in the streets, and a general sense of rebellion against the System.

If that should ever happen then the battle is already lost.

I couldn’t bear his judgement, I had a slice of cake yesterday (ok 2!) and there was a slow head shake! I’ll live through you, you can all DM me and let me know what you’re having!
 
I’m sorry I need a rant! I’m so over this!
first lockdown started on my first wedding anniversary- I was supposed to go home to ireland to celebrate it where we got married. Got cancelled. My husbands birthday was in June - had to “celebrate” in lockdown with just a walk down the beach. My birthday is 1st December so our plans for that now cancelled. I haven’t seen my family since last Christmas.
I started a new job 4 days before last lockdown and as grateful as I am that I worked throuhout it’s been a struggle to settle and prove my worth throughout all this too. I’m just so over it!

This made me laugh. I have tea all peeled and prepped ready to go in the oven. Our timing involves fitting in a walk for the dog too. 🙄
