I was a on a teams call with work the other day just with one other colleague and could hear the loudest snoring ever coming from his end, in the background - didn't like to comment obviously!

Like 10 mins in he goes "Oh btw, you might hear my dog snoring, he's passed out next to me"
Dogs on Zoom calls are honestly a nightmare 😂 My dog doesn’t make a sound until I answer or go on a call. I spend more time apologising for my dog growling or barking than I do working

I 100% agree with that
It's just shit all around

Some are worried that they don't have a job, some are worried that their job will result in them being ill. Some are struggling being alone, others are struggling being locked down with others. Some worry about being shut away because they are vulnerable, others worry that they can't stay safe and have to go out. As much as I dislike the government, I do feel that at times there are impossible choices

Covid fatigue is setting in on all of us.

I go to work everyday waiting for a bubble to burst, a colleague to test positive, a change in my lesson plans.
I go to the gym everyday thinking ‘this might be the last time I get to do body pump with Amy on Wednesdays’ (she’s the best PT!!)
I drop of my kids at school and I’m grateful we’ve had another day of full time education and they haven’t been sent home.
I go to Tesco and worry that maybe I should grab an extra packet of pasta and flour before the queues start again.
I wait for the next Boris briefing like i‘s the latest ’Stranger Things’ episode.

We are truly living life day by day. We can’t plan, look forward to, anticipate.

We just wait.

I definitely feel like this. It's like we're living by a covid schedule. You just never know when the rug is going to be pulled out from under you.

Come to the conclusion after my trips the last 2 weeks that I actually don’t mind the whole face covering outdoors thing now it’s cold. Kind of keeps my face warm and i sort of enjoy the anonymity. I actually kept mine on when walking back from our restaurant last night as it was so nice and warm 😂

(I am someone who cried when they bought them in for shops as well!)

I don’t want them to bring it in for outdoors but if they do hopefully it’s just for the winter as it was no where near as bad as when it was warm.

Yep, my other half kept his on when we were out the other day and my stepson seems to like putting his on before we even leave the house 😂

I seem to alternate between “put your bloody mask on” and “take your bloody mask off” 😂

I do miss having things to look forward to but I will also say it has me live a bit more in the present and try to enjoy just a ‘normal’ day.

I’m one of those people who is always counting down to going somewhere or seeing something and disregarding all the time in between when actually, that time is the majority of my life 😬

not having a series of countdowns has helped me a bit to try and do more things I enjoy on just an average day I spose. I’m kind of grateful for that in a weird way.

Went to the opticians today, not for an eye test but due to problems with one eye. He asked me to put my chin on that thing to hold my head steady and shine bright lights. He couldn't see properly and asked me to lower my mask below my nose, and that's when I realised he'd removed his mask. Our faces were soooo close. Never bothered me until today. 😵

Anyway he's given me a heat compressed eye mask that I heat up in the microwave. Tried it when I got home and felt marvellous - but couldn't see properly for ten minutes. 😎

On another note, called into Boots to look for Xmas prezzies and was surprised at the number of stark shelves. I think everyone must have been before me. Has anyone seen their Xmas brochure yet?

This is what I’m struggling with. I love having plans to look forward to and get me through the weeks. Even though I’m a bit of an introvert I do really enjoy social things (on my own terms!) so missing nights out, going for lunch with friends, seeing family etc also haven’t been on holiday for over a year which is unusual for me as try to go away a few times a year. Plus missing live music and festivals a lot, used to be (and still is!) a big part of my life which has just vanished - spending more time exploring new music on Spotify but it’s just not the same! I know this is the epitome of first world problems but I just wanted to feel sorry for myself !

I miss live music. We had some amazing gigs planned this year, plus download festival. Also had some musicals and shows to see. I havent been to a gig since Feb. Its been a long time.
