I know that but it still puts daily cases at around the 10,000 mark which is way too high for me to feel comfortable with
422 hospital admissions. I'm not sure if this is daily or a daily average over a week but it's more reflective to March as they were only testing hospital admissions then

I think that's the average it was around 89 a few weeks ago

Well that's the problem have they let it run into exponential growth now when they were hoping local restrictions would contain it ...edit to say Boris has hinted the gaff might have led to not everyone being contacted by the test n trace ...no surprise there then another fck up to add to their collection:rolleyes:
Well I have a friend who works for track and trace and let’s just say she’s done very little work since starting the role...
I honestly for my own sanity have to just carry on as normal as possible and pretty much blank out the day to day BS from the government and the news.
I get way too annoyed with it all and there’s so many U-turns, and hypocritical behaviours within out government that I just can’t handle it anymore.
You don’t know for sure what’s true, false, exaggerated or total BS. Members of parliament are breaking their own rules and admitting to not even knowing them!
I’m just so done with it and I find my mental health is way better when I don’t read or listen to any of it.
Essentially this virus will be around, we need to live with it, a vaccine is years off being rolled out to everybody (I won’t accept one without knowing the long term side affects) and I just think we can’t live under this cloud darkening our days. It’s a virus, it will come and go just like every other virus.

It's confusing as it says they all report differently, Scotland only report weekly, England is the previous 24hrs
Yeah if you go to breakdown by nation rather than uk total, it will show up to date England numbers. But for whole uk there’s a lag.

NI don't update at weekends

Yes that’s what I’ve been reading about on Twitter. The bigger issue being the lack of contact tracing of around 16k people.
Wonder what part of the country is affected or is it all over ? shocking this is still happening all these months later ..

Possibly all over but I guess especially pertinent in areas with already a high spread of the virus 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unfortunately it’s now clear cases have been been rising dramatically over the last 2 weeks, we just weren’t aware of it. The problem with only looking at hospital admissions is that it is already too late at that point. Hospital admissions have been increasing and this suggests we will see a further big increase in the next few weeks.

Has anyone who has the Test & Trace app been getting notifications about a ‘possible exposure’? I read something on the BBC News website about it happening to people falsely. The only place I’ve checked in using it is the gym. I’ve already had a positive test for it back in July and was poorly with it then. Paranoid!

The exposure notification isn’t a false reading, it just lets you know when you have been near someone who has since tested positive, but you weren’t around them long enough to be at risk of catching it and so you don’t need to isolate.
I think the idea of this notification is good but it does seem like they need to reword it so people understand what it means.

i did last week.. but found a link explaining why it happened! I’ll try and find it again.

Its crazy isn’t it. Absolutely crazy. Just one big performance.
I just find this whole thing so weird. They've literally thrown the whole shebang at him, drugs-wise. The doctors say he's been doing really well, Chief of Staff says the opposite. Video last night of him looking ill and paler than usual and video clearly edited due to his coughing, no signs of IV lines despite drugs supposedly being administered by infusion. Then a new video today showing him looking well (ie orange again), standing up, speaking clearly, and now this stupid photo op to give his fans a 'special treat'. I mean, wtf? So many contradictions. He's either ill or he's not 🤷🏼‍♀️

Exactly. It doesn’t make sense.
Whatever the truth, the situation is being used for maximum PR coverage 🤔
