These deaths also don’t include those who have died from COVID-19 after 28 days of testing positive though.

Thanks for posting these! I don’t think people realise that those dying from COVID-19 28 days after a positive test result are counted in the daily deaths. I would assume a large proportion of people die after the 28 days due to the timeline that COVID-19 seems to work!
I don’t know if this happens everywhere but people in hospital would often get more than just one test. If they tested positive and for example 2 weeks later needed to be moved to another ward they would get tested again. So in terms of those numbers “falling through the net” I think there is less chance of that happening. Plus anyone coming out of hospital would need a negative test before they came out. Obviously there will be people in the community with covid that die at home after 28 days but I don’t think that is as common, usually they would get taken into hospital... have another test and be counted in the numbers.

Here's a close-up view. He didn't put it back on when he went inside and that foyer is full of people. I have no words 😩

I think it looks like he's taking some pretty deep breaths there, something isn't right with his breathing

It does look that way. Kelly Anne Conway's daughter, Claudia, is tweeting some very juicy stuff out re Trump.

In my city we now have nearly 1000 student cases. Only been teaching face to face for 7 days. We aren’t in local lockdown yet so compared with places like Manchester and Newcastle it seems really unfair we’re all likely to have to suffer the consequences when I’m sure most cases reported involve the universities and not the wider community.

If more government support was available to support unis with a term of online learning I doubt the situation would be as dire as it is now. It all seems inevitable now - sorry for popping by for a moan. 😖 I’m aware some areas have it much worse though.

They said at the last briefing they would be doing more updates but Boris is at the Tory conference and by the look of things on the same meds as Trump he's claiming the UK will never return to normal after the virus, he's planning on building a new Jerusalem 😂
BoJo said the UK will never return to normal after covid?.😐

😂🤣

Before the exceptional specimen of a man returned to his day job of ranting like a lunatic on Twitter,
Trump queried how 210,000 ordinary Americans, who unlike the president have not been placed in a protective bubble with the best medical assistance in the world, could be such losers as to die from this stupid thing.

“I don’t get it, why didn’t they just get a helicopter to Walter Reed like me, and have round the clock care from arguably the best medical professionals in the world? Am I supposed to feel sorry for these 210,000 idiots?” remarked Trump, who is now classed as having a ‘pre-existing condition’ and would technically be denied health insurance coverage under his own proposals.

Eager to further downplay a disease he is still in throes of actively spreading, Trump took to Twitter to declare ‘don’t let Covid dominate your life’ which has been seen as a slight at the 210,000 dead Americans who meekly let the president’s lack of a cohesive strategy against Covid-19 kill them.

Off topic slightly but I genuinely think the mask situation is making things worse. You wouldn’t believe the amount of people I see/know who are using the same gross disposable face mask over and over again. People using cloth face masks for weeks and not washing them. People constantly touching their mask, leaving it in their handbag and then rummaging around etc. If masks were being worn properly with designated disposal bins and people following donning/doffing procedures to a T then I’m sure they would be beneficial but honestly it seems like such a half arsed attempt at trying to put the onus on the public.
This concerns me too. Kids at school have clearly wine th same disposables for weeks. Also - if they were highly contagious wouldn't we need to rid of them more clinically? Not just in household bins?

Uni cities are really struggling ☹
Nottingham cases were pretty low during lockdown, it’s only as students are back they’ve shot up. It’s a relatively small city to have 2 big unis.
Today’s UK figures are worrying
I saw you mention earlier about if Nottingham goes into a local lockdown, where the areas affected be.
I saw this online, it’s not official but gives a slight indictation😫

My kids take a washable one each day. Got a pack of 5 from Amazon so they go in the wash each night and get a fresh one each morning. There's no excuse for people to be reusing them 🤢

I thought you were suggesting that we might get rid of school kids 'clinically' and not via household bins at first 😆🙈 Admittedly this thread has gotten wild at certain points, but that makes even the most seasoned of us Tattlers uncomfortable.

I mean most self-respecting parents have probably considered how to dispose of our children, but talking about it so openly is generally frowned upon.

Thank you for sharing this. I don’t fall under any of those areas but I feel like my area would perhaps be included in a separate lockdown 🙄

He is also on a shit load of steroids which can induce or heighten mania/psychosis (which he seems to have on normal days), he should have made Pence the temp President but Trump is too fucking fragile to do that. The equivalent would be someone driving while on opioids which is illegal. The man is highly dangerous at the best of times but he will probably get away with it again because he always does. He never faces consequences. I wouldn't be sad if he took a turn for the worse at the WH. He is despicable and deserves anything bad that happens. He is putting secret service agents, butlers, chefs, all the staff in danger.

Fucking idiots, the lot of them.

North Korea/Russia propaganda type shit. It is like he still thinks he is a damn reality star on The Apprentice with the slow-mo and dramatic music. Pathetic.

He is honestly a psychotic murderer quite literally for what he has done. A friend pointed out how the worst punishment for him would to be around to see Biden/Harris for 4 years. The thing is this man does not deserve to become a martyr which is what would happen honestly to his [][] base in the US.

I’m the same, my area is one of the “not included” areas but it just seems crazy that if I drive 5 minutes up the road they will be in a local lockdown😬

Honestly people what do you think will happen next?
We've seen ROI, NI and Scotland are bringing in stricter measures.
Do we think England will go the same way? And how? Pubs closing again? Circuit breaker?

It feels like we are waiting in limbo....

It’s tough to know isn’t it. They seem dead against national lockdown so maybe they’ll just limit household mixing nationally to start off with?
I’m interested to see what else they’ll do in Scotland but I honestly don’t know much about what’s happening in Ireland right now- pretty sure they’ve rejected medical calls for a full lockdown?
