We have a holiday booked to leave on Saturday and we’re pretty sure Nicola has just said we can go?

It's terrible when it get's into the hospitals the one place you go to get better ,and then all the staff shortages through having to isolate ..

Feeling very confused as to what more restrictions we can face without shutting bars/pubs/restaurants etc.
We already have indoor household bans. I wonder if they will ban meeting outdoors now... except allow folk to go to work, schools, pubs, hairdressers etc. I’ve lost the will to live with it all.

Yup I’m assuming we’ll be okay but just not sure what the restrictions will be or if they’ll be in hotspot areas which we technically are as a city but according to the Scottish gov map our actual area has had less than 5 cases in the last week. Going to assume we’re going but assume it could change I think

This has just made me really fancy a baguette Only got hovis 50/50 in.

I’ve not been in a food shop Since mid March as shielding, I get a weekly food delivery....baguettes are what I miss the most as I can’t get them on a delivery!

It could be hospitality and public attractions like they've done here ,hotels are only allowed to cater for overnight guests and pubs are only allowed to serve outdoors to a limited number of people

Off topic slightly but I genuinely think the mask situation is making things worse. You wouldn’t believe the amount of people I see/know who are using the same gross disposable face mask over and over again. People using cloth face masks for weeks and not washing them. People constantly touching their mask, leaving it in their handbag and then rummaging around etc. If masks were being worn properly with designated disposal bins and people following donning/doffing procedures to a T then I’m sure they would be beneficial but honestly it seems like such a half arsed attempt at trying to put the onus on the public.

To be fair we’ll have our 9 month old so won’t be bothering with pubs. Just wanting to get a change of scenery if we’re able to. Our plans mainly involve walks/sightseeing and I’d be happy enough getting a takeaway if need be

I really thnk they needed to explain more how to wear/clean etc masks. I am shocked to see people using what look like very sophisticated masks with air filters etc, then not covering their noses, rendering it basically useless

I feel so angry about Trump. He has always been an absolute joke, but now he is dangerous, leaving hospital and not wearing his mask, downplaying Covid 19 on Twitter. It’s basically a big F U to those who have lost their lives from the virus, their families and those suffering from the effects of not being able to afford healthcare and who have lost their jobs.

They have been questioning if what he did today was even legal. The comparison is if a regular citizen knowingly walked into a Costco without wearing a mask breathing on everyone, could they be held liable legally?

He is a very sick man. Both mentally and physically. I have questioned if he truly has it but after seeing him today struggling to breathe and the coverup. He is sick and he is terrified. A true narcissist that will do anything to prevent the public from learning the truth. But the jig can only last for so long sadly.

He is also on a shit load of steroids which can induce or heighten mania/psychosis (which he seems to have on normal days), he should have made Pence the temp President but Trump is too fucking fragile to do that. The equivalent would be someone driving while on opioids which is illegal. The man is highly dangerous at the best of times but he will probably get away with it again because he always does. He never faces consequences. I wouldn't be sad if he took a turn for the worse at the WH. He is despicable and deserves anything bad that happens. He is putting secret service agents, butlers, chefs, all the staff in danger.

I never liked Trump but I'm not an American and I didn't vote him in so keep my nose out of US politics...but this whole thing is just beyond the pale. I can't actually believe that I'm watching the leader of the most powerful country in the world.

It was a lost cause from the get go having told people for months not to wear them and that there’s no evidence supporting using them!
Plus, cases have increased since they were mandated so that pretty much says it all.
