Obviously hard to say without evidence but personally I think the vaccine is destroying peoples immune systems and making them more susceptible to disease, putting your body through three vaccinations in one year can’t come without consequences. Ive also never met someone with natural immunity who isnt vaxxed and has caught it again. Everyone I know who has caught it multiple times has caught it again after vaccination.
I noticed the same trend when the second dose was rolled out people were coming down with covid not longer after it so paid close attention when the booster was rolled out and because it was open to practically every age group quite quickly its been more evident that people are testing positive not long after their booster.

My immune system is shocking. I have had virus after virus this year. This is the most run down I have been in my life. I can’t even remember the last time I felt truly well, and my chest has never fully recovered from when I had covid originally. I see your point, however, I’m more inclined to think (for me any way) that my immune system is f*cked because of covid and not the vaccine. I haven’t mentioned this before but I had an inflamed liver for ages after I had covid the first time, the doctor said it was because my body was still trying to fight the infection, still can’t bloody smell properly either !

I also think that the suggested correlation between vaccinated people catching covid, or being reinfected, is likely because they have either thought duck it I’ve already had covid. Or I’m safe because I’m vaccinated so are naturally less careful and mingling again. Whereas those who are not vaccinated are being more cautious. Just a thought 💭

Will they definitely have enough tests for kids to be tested when they return? The school must have certain amounts of stocks in, I wonder how often schools get them restocked? Anyone here know?
Schools get them from the local authority public health who have their own reserves. My local authority had a community centre literally full of them, and they went out in batches to schools, key workers etc

Or it could just be that there is a very transmissible variant circulating in very high numbers at the moment.

There's definitely something. I've had covid once at the beginning of the 2021 and everyone who has caught it multiple times they are vaccinated and boosted.

I work two jobs, both mix with the public lots.

(However people get very angry very quick because they dont like any negativity against the vaccines)

I totally agree with the vaccines and immune systems - most people I know vaccinated are always unwell they seem to pick up every cold and sniffle going (just my experience). One of my friends has covid for the second time since September - 1 vaccine before infection, 2nd vaccine after waiting however long you wait and has just tested positive again! Another had her booster 2 weeks ago - positive now. I'm unvaccinated had it in August - mild but had been preparing my immune system for months before. Have just watched a video on YouTube by Dr John Campbell. Antibodies from Delta don't work against Omicron but antibodies from Omicron do work against Delta so he thinks this will eliminate Delta - so this would explain folk having it a few times. We will see. There are a lot of good videos on his channel btw - the one regarding Vitamin D and Isreal has really good advice on what to take as a preventative.

I thought that's what they accredited SA's mild wave with ,having prior antibodies from Delta ,so that's a myth ?

It's interesting they say they don't know if it's the virus being milder or the vaccines that are accounting for less ICU admissions

People tend to conflate things and jump to conclusions, though.

I'm not trying to diminish anyone's experiences, but so many refer solely to people they know when they're trying to make a point about the whole vaccine system. The sample is too small. And generally it's used in anti vaccine arguments -- e.g. "I haven't had the vaccine and I've been fine, but my mates are vaccinated and they've had covid, so there must be something in it! 🤔 "

If people don't want the vaccine, fine by me, but why try to justify it constantly by trying to make out that those who've had it are worse off? It's so transparent.

Yeah he is using the latest research from the Africa Health Research Institute. The video only went up a few hours ago. It's a positive video if anyone is worried it is reassuring.

Hospitals are being hit hard in certain areas

Yeah I like John I watch a lot of his stuff, so it couldn’t be the vaccine that’s accounting for lower admissions if SA data is right as they have a poor uptake ,especially if they’ve ruled out prior infection from Delta too.it must be evolution of the virus itself.

Most staff will remove them when delivering to the class so kids can hear. I'm on maternity but I'd be bloody relived they were being mandated for lessons if I was at work teaching not ideal but so much safer. At least for a month or so
I work in a primary school which is slightly different I know but our staff have never worn masks anywhere around school and obvs the children haven't and we have had very minimal cases, we have had a lot of kids being allowed in with colds etc and at times it has felt a bit scary but for a school with 110 kids we have only had 7 confirmed cases.....I personally don't think teenage kids wearing masks is the safest way to stop this spreading but that is just my opinion 😘.....enjoy your maternity.....hopefully things will be back to some kind of normality when you get back xx

Probably the schools accounting for this wait till 2 weeks time to see cases
