Depends on the way people interpret your posts ,including sighting there’s proof of particular things when there isn’t .

You said before you were speaking in general terms and now you are saying depends on the way people interpret my posts. Just because I think vaccines work that does no way translate to me pushing this onto other people nor do I see how people can interpret this. I cite things from reputable sources such as scientific studies which = proof.

All my sources are from reputable scientific studies too, which do not equate to proof as real world data is pending

I have cited studies regarding vaccines efficacy against severe illness and death which I believe show they are working. If you don’t agree with me that is fine but to say that I am pushing my views onto other people is wrong.

There are people with opposing views to me but I do not tell them they are pushing their views on everyone.

I have spoken that there is proof of vaccines working (like many other users have done) in reducing severe illness and death and I have linked studies. I am not jumping on people with opposing views to me.

I replied to a comment @Notgonnalie made regarding vaccines not working against transmission by simply saying that they do work to a certain level (something like 60%) from what Prof Hayward was saying. That is hardly jumping on people.

I apologise for derailing the thread massively, I don’t like being accused of doing things when I have not. I will not engage in that conversation further.

The vaccine does fail to totally prevent transmission and the vaccine committees are worried that because of how poor it’s responded to delta that future variants will be even more transmissible with newer variants, I followed that post up with a comment after you questioned this and I agreed with you that it doesn’t fail completely, but that it doesn’t do enough so I’m not sure why you’re tagging me in your arguments we’re not in the playground. There doesn’t need to be a winner we’re all just sharing our opinions doesn’t mean one persons right and one persons wrong.

Which the vast majority will ignore. No way will people have for example another Christmas period not being able to visit the homes of friends and family. We are in a good place because even though infections are up again, hospital numbers have shrunk.

I already plan to ignore it. Not having another christmas lost!

I expected the summer period to have much lower numbers. Especially with people being able to be outside in good weather more and three quarters of adults fully vaccinated. Autumn could be bad. If you want to go places now is the time before we end up at the risk of things like hospitality shutting again.

Whatever comes our way I think most people now rightfully will be taking their own personal choices and choosing whether to follow guidance (in terms of social mixing in one’s own home). I am another person who won’t be missing out on socialising as a lot of my friends really struggled and when we met again after I could tell the toll it had on them.

Not to mention people who have MH conditions or live alone/not with their partner have every right to see people/each other.

I will not buy into the fear messages the Government will spread about it. And anyone who actually calls the police on someone for seeing their friends and family in their own home needs to take a look in the mirror.

Natural immunity isn't as strong as what the vaccine gives you and it doesn't last as long as what the vaccine does. You complain about it being coercive to try and force you to have a jab but don't like the idea of business owners deciding who works from them. If you don't want the jab don't have it. If a business owner doesn't want staff or customers who haven't had the jab they don't have to because it's their choice just like it's yours. You are a third as likely to pass on covid or catch it if you've been jabbed.

From what I've read there isn't a definitive answer for this.
If you read science articles then the jury is still out, words like 'may' and 'might' are used.
The NHS and CDC say you should still get the vaccine, but then they would say that, other scientists say different as is normal in any other medical situation.
With both natural immunity and vaccination the odds of future infection and level of illness are both dependent on age, comorbitities ect

Surely if vaccines were the only way to secure longer immunity, then proof of previous covid infection wouldn't be used on the domestic passports

If a business owner does try playing that card then they need to tread carefully as vaccines aren't mandated and legally they might be open to being sued
