Yes because a person who was nearly beaten to death - escaped and recovered would not have ever again put themselves in the dangerous position of being alone with the attacker ever again- really they should have made Lauren a stronger character who reported him asap- but then it would not lead to a heartbreaking “wedding is fucked” storyline.

We have seen this in Emmerdale too with Lydia - I think attacks in soaps should show immediate reporting- support and comeuppance- it might give real dv sufferers the courage to come forward if they saw the process -
 
I thought Dee Dee was supposed to be an intelligent woman how can she not see how slimey Joel is and see through all the lame excuses he's making, they are spoiling her character now 🙄
Would Lauren have any tests in the hospital that would show she had the drugs Joel gave her in her system surely it's got to come out somewhere
 
Remember a few weeks back when Lauren came back into it, I was saying some of those episodes were brilliant and had me gripped but here we are back to thinking its all a pile of shite again with the most bizarre and unbelievable storyline. They have ruined this storyline. As if you would listen to anything Joel had to say let alone be with him ALONE after he tried to cave your head in.

I don't remember this conversation but I probably zoned out. What on earth are they thinking?! Is it not enough that she's been abused by him ffs!! they have to take it too far dragging it out, can't they just kill him off it send him to prison then be done with the storyline
 
Because reasons, I am now 6 episodes behind. Is it worth me A)spending an hour fast forwarding through the episodes B) give up on the Street C) pick up from tonight's episode?

I did wonder that when he reacted like that but then thought surely not, they're not going to make this storyline even worse are they:LOL: hopefully it was just that he was feeling guilty as it was a familiar name and made him realise what he's done to his own son if that makes sense
 
Is Hope going to start lighting things on fire again or what ? What was her interest in Typnes and Fizz chat about Jack the other night ? Lauren and Joel aren’t likeable characters, hope they kill them all off and Deedee included and Michael for good measure 😴😴

That’s what I thought it was about. That it made him realise that’s actually his son and his grandad would be disappointed in what he’s done or something.

Surely they won’t add incest to an abuse storyline? If they wanted an incest storyline it would be completely separate, surely?
