Where is this storyline going with the Rovers? If this guy buys it, and then threatens to turn it into flats does this mean we have to endure months of them doing a storyline with placards etc outside trying to save the place because if so I honestly can't be fucked - we all know the Rovers won't go anywhere. I pretty much skipped the scenes with that guy and Gemma, Gemma boils my piss.
Just sell it to Debbie and be done with it. Debbie & David behind the bar would be brilliant! I'm just thinking out loud lol sorry

It'll be saved for the Christmas Day episode, they drag it out with pointless petitions and protests (probably Mary trying to be hilarious and failing) but it'll be saved for all the Corrie residents to pile in for their turkey dinner, whilst Rita warbles White Christmas.

Yeah it will be a repeat of the ‘Save Our Cobbles’ campaign for the 40th Anniversary

We all know that the Rovers won’t be sold. There is absolutely no jeopardy in this storyline

That's the problem with storylines like this. Everyone knows nothing is going to happen to the Rovers ..... unless Jenny sells it to that couple who bought the crooked pub. Then it will be burned down and demolished within 2 days. :mad:

Fair enough, show Jenny struggling financially and contemplating selling it but it will never be anything but a pub called The Rovers.
 
The story line with Eliza meeting up someone we’re led to believe is a p*aedo but it’s actually her Dad… does anybody else remember they did EXACTLY the same thing when Faye found Tim? Literally exactly the same thing. Made us think she was meeting an abuser, but it was her dad. Get some new writers!

I’m starting to think he’s not her dad at all. I was waiting for Bridgette to say something that doesn’t fit with the ‘dads’ story when she was on the phone to Stu

This is where soaps drive me mad. You'll get some massive life changing story and a close family member will stay away. At least Chris Gascoyne popped backfire a couple of episodes when Deidre died

I think Jason Grimshaw needs to be recast. Ryan Thomas doesn't seem to have any plans to come back and has even talked about giving up acting all together.

On the topic of grooming maybe it could be a backstory for Lauren? She was always surrounded by all those weird blokes- maybe it's a learned behaviour?? But then Spider would have surely noticed something 🤔
