This storyline with Daisy is really well done imo. Corrie do it best when it's a slow burn and this one has been.

Justin coming in the back door tonight was utterly creepy and the actress playing Daisy was so good (she's sooooo tiny too which makes me feel scared for her even more).

I know where this is going (thanks spoilers) and I feel sick at the thought.
It is really well done. I find it a hard watch because I've been in Daisy's shoes - blow my phone up, follow me, call my family/friends/work and make up lies just to hurt me because I didn't want to be with him and the police couldn't do anything.

Justin plays the role really well - I actually do feel really creeped out by him. Daisy is also playing the role well too. This is definitely how these sort of storylines needs to be done, with good actors and not rushed like some of the storylines we get - The race storyline with Griff used to just wind me up because he was a shite actor IMO and I just kept thinking would you ever just shut up you tiny, little weird man

ps, I can not stand Faye - she just comes across miserable 24/7 but suppose if craig was your boyfriend, you would be miserable.

The Amy storyline would have been better with a new character , still could have done the same consent stuff with a stranger she meets on a night out or a new friend of the group. Plus it would stop us from seeing whiney Summer.
I can't see Aaron coming back from this so I'm assuming he will be leaving the street
Please God he'll take Summer with him🙏🙏.
She's such a simpering, sappy character🤮

Summer had a personality transplant in last night's ep- wanting to go out partying and double dating, telling Amy to blow off her studies. I actually find her more annoying when she's trying to be 'normal' than when she's being all saintly and goody-two-shoes. Such tit inconsistent writing as well

I went to sleep after watching it last night and dreamt Justin had crept into my house & was stalking me 😂

Sending you strength, I hope you're in a better situation now.

Justin really creeps me out also. I'm really struggling with this to be honest. I know Corrie are doing it to raise awareness = always good. But, the police etc have been so unhelpful to Daisy/Daniel. Surely they are able to look up his past & see if he has displayed this behaviour previously. I know they still need evidence, which Daisy was keeping a log of. However this is just at a time when scrutiny in real life is really quite on the police etc, especially male officers. In Corrie if I recall correctly the police officer on the desk was following Daisy, or started following her on Instagram after she went in for help (and got none). Now I'm watching Corrie thinking - gosh if I was in Daisy's position what good would going to the police be?

Is this likely to put people off asking for help, or is it to raise awareness to get police to step up?

Speaking personally I was a victim of DA/DV, I spoke to the police informally (we had to call them out due to no answer from an elderly neighbour- so I just asked for some off the record advice) and they could not have been more helpful. Although I was no longer in the abusive relationship, my ex would not leave me alone. I was given many options, of which I could take one or all of them to help me be and feel safer.

It really has got me thinking.

Sadly I think the response Daisy is getting, with the struggle to be taken seriously, is quite realistic 😔 I hope it brings about change.

It’s disturbing to watch, particularly how manipulative Justin is.
I think it’s showing the reality for a lot of stalking victims in that it in itself wasn’t an offense and the police weren’t obliged to do anything unless they actually did something to physically harm their victim. I think it has changed now because a lot of women were murdered by their stalker and had usually reported it to the police who did nothing.
I would hope that the end result which I assume will be Justin being convicted down the line won’t put people off reporting it. Although it may be pot luck depending on the area.
I’m glad that you were taken seriously by the police.
