How do these current writers keep getting it sooooo wrong. Do they not care what the viewers think? Something in the Corrie writers is seriously lacking right now. Jacob had so much potential and had become such a good character.

No he left by choice. The producers told actor about how they saw his future going on street and he 'was humbled but had done 2 years and felt it time to move on' . Ie he thinks he's hollywood when hes a really just a grand character but he aint no de niro. Prob be back in a year.
