Lying under oath would be perjury which is a criminal offence, a complaint would need to be made and investigated. As regards this case, it shouldn't have any effect on the issue of costs as, basically, the jury found in his favour.

Perjury is a criminal offence so an complaint must be made and then investigated for evidence. It is very rare for a prosecution on the basis of perjury.

I would assume just the legal teams as there is only legal argument, I cant see any submissions having been filed but it is the only matter before Owens tomorrow so we may get actual arguments on costs.

I'd hate to see her settlement go to pay JL legal fees. She was never going to get a conviction of rape on that one as everyone knows nothing happened between them. I hope her legal team did the right thing there.

I wouldn't think so. I imagine they were working on a no win no fee basis as she would not have the money to pay them.

Her legal team had to add JL to the civil case as he made the statement he’d had sex with Nikita

Dying to see what will happen tomorrow. With it being so complicated with JL, and the jury deciding he didn't assault her, because they probably never had sex in the first place, it's so hard to know how it will go.

It's so tricky. He was not guilty of what he was accused of so how could the jury find him liable? Very frustrating. I wish there had been a way to ask the jury if they believe her had sex with her.

Can the judge say that he doesn't believe JL account and therefore he has to pay his own costs? I believe the judge can do what he likes regarding the costs and we all know it is McGregor who will pay them. Although the judge should order that because I wouldn't trust McGregor to leave JL to pay his share or of spite.
