Does anyone know if the Blue house is working out for them? i remember when they bought it she said it had to work as a business and I’m sure they probably went widely over budget. I don’t follow her closely anymore and was wondering if it got booked out a lot, I know it used to be extortionately expensive for a weeks stay.

It’s hard to ascertain the facts with Katie. One minute she’s complaining that her 1 million pound second home is indeed making a significant loss, next minute she’s booking a luxury long haul holiday for a family of 5.
So who knows?

I honestly don't see the logic of making your kids live in (I mean it's hardly squalor is it?) a house that isn't ideal for family living when you blatantly have the cash to do something about it.
I mean I know she's just been stringing it out to get as many freebies as possible but I can't imagine doing that to my kids. When I was a kid we lived in a virtual building site because my step dad insisted on doing everything himself. But my parents didn't have a tit tonne of cash that they spent on luxury fripperies at the same time as us having no walls and having to fill a bucket to flush the toilet. She is a twit.
I love interiors but the Insta look-at-my-house-and-give-me-free-stuff crowd are mostly all arseholes.

Urgh.

Yeah I think this. We’re all of an age where we grew up on the internet and can find the best deals for stuff. I guess it’s just like booking a package? But again, I’m almost sure there are websites where you can just find and book them yourself. Is it an mlm thing? I find it all weird. I’d wanna research and book what I want.

I know someone who uses a travel counsellor. I actually think it's a pretty good idea if you're not into packages. They have the knowledge and contacts to sort out some nice accommodation and side trips, it would take me months. If they know you and know what you are likely to want from your holiday, then why not.

I mean, I can't afford more than a week in Cornwall this year but if we ever manage to go somewhere far flung again for a longer period I might be tempted to use one.

Have you seen how much a week in Cornwall is!! It's cheaper to have an all inclusive in the Dominican 😯

I mean yeah, it's not a cheap, cheap option, but it's significantly cheaper than our usual few weeks in the med. I booked it on a whim ages ago as it was dog friendly, of course now I've done my research and realised that the dog can only go on most of the nearby beaches between 7pm-7am, so that'll be fun.

To be fair on the travel counsellors front as well, I know a few people who have used them for honeymoons to save the stress when already working a full time job and then planning a wedding. From what I know, you basically just spend a session listing all the stuff you like, don't like, and then they do off and get all the options so it can include packages but also can be a lot more custom and get you little upgrades etc.

It's just a new travel agent really 😂 I am thinking of using one for my honeymoon because the idea of planning all that while sorting the wedding is hell

If you go later in the year dogs are allowed on all the beaches. On the whole Cornwall is so dog friendly, I love it, where abouts are you going?

Yeah, October half term would have been a better option really. Don’t know why so thought it would be any different restriction wise down there to how it is where we live. 😂

We’re going to be on the Lizard. Can’t wait, haven’t been down there for quite a few years due to my need for guaranteed sun. Looking forward to walking some of the coastal path.

Yet she’d have to ‘sell a kid’ to find 3k to jet wash the whole house 🙄
Exactly. It’s all so distorted and disingenuous. Made me laugh when she described it as their ‘paid family holiday this year’. All my family holidays are paid for Katie.
I suspect there was some sort of discount.
Still moaning that she couldn’t go to Zanzibar. Spoilt madam.
