Comedians you don’t find funny…

Yeah I watched him presenting the baftas(I think) and he was trying to do that "only doing this for the money" style a la Ricky Gervais.

It worked for Ricky at the Golden Globes for many reasons but Richard Ayoade just came across miserable and uncharismatic and ungrateful.
Award shows are self-indulgent but it's light entertainment, i don't know why he had to bring the mood down with his whole "this is so stupid and beneath me" style.
Made me dislike him a bit tbh because there would have been people looking forward to watching the show and he was just being a dick about it.
He came into my workplace once and I kinda expected him to be the slightly dippy humorous character he usually plays. He was actually pretty chilly and miserable, he seems a bit like that on panel shows too, and not particularly funny outside his acting roles. Maybe he doesn’t really like that persona or resents it in some way.

In general I tend towards leftwing, but there’s a whole morass of leftish privileged R4 esque comedians who are just utterly bland and deluded about their influence. At some point it seemed like they had the cheek to present themselves as moral arbiters, or social crusaders, but it’s all really just smug self-regard.

If Laurence Fox was my brother in law I'd be chilly and miserable too to be fair.

I enjoyed off the wall humour, eg Carrick, League of Gentlemen & Summer Heights High with Chris Lilley and oh yes The Fast Show. The "singing a ringing a plinking a plonking tree" that kind of thing.
Current "comedians" are a kind of smug hemmeroid (spelling?) Never watch them now.
Summer Heights High was the funniest thing ever.
Sadly so many reasons it could never be made now.

The Rosie Jones 'R*tard' controversy.
It seems like she has pissed off a lot disability activists by using that word. Which also usually horribly is used against people with a learning disability so not her.
I've not watched her documentary so can't really comment tbf - has anyone seen it?
I’m disabled and I dislike her using the word. She’s not funny whatsoever, not at all in any way. She’s just in it for the shock value. Well, we disabled are sick of being spoken for. You don’t speak for me Rosie Jones, you’re just using disability as a platform for fame. You actually need a talent and a decent personality too.

I was watching a few best of HIGNFY on You Tube the other day which led me to 'Mock The Week' etc. The number of seriously unfunny comedians who gained prominence because of Brexit is incredible, especially considering their limited material. Nish Kumar springs to mind but there are a shedload of them. Now the adverts are all about Katherine Ryan's and Maisie Adam's new football show. Don't mind the former but find nothing funny about the latter other than the hair. It's her head and no one else's business, but that said, it's like she walked into a salon just after the work experience girl had accidentally sniffed the wig glue.

Ed Gamble has a lot to answer for when it comes to Maisie Adam. I'm blaming him and his taking the piss out of her, where she comes from and "the dip" and how good he was at taking the piss out of her as the reason she was invited back on Mock the week. 😆 because as you say, she was dire.

Lee Evans can't stand him or Joe pasquale god they both irritate the hell out or me
I was just reading about a wierd Joe Pasquale controversy. Apparently he 'stole' a warm up comedian's act and this other comedian (can't remember his name) blamed JP for effectively ruining his career for a while. When this other comedian told his best jokes people would say 'oh that's a Joe Pasquale joke'. I suppose he should have just come up with some more but maybe it isn't that easy?
