Cobra Kai Netflix

I really like how they've bought back all the original actors. Obviously loving Johnny, did anyone else look to see if he was actually on twitter or just me?!

One thing that annoyed me was...

Why couldn't they just let Tory have the win? I didn't think that scene where she saw Silver handing over the bribe was needed. I'm pretty sure she could beat Sam anyway and it just felt quite harsh to the character

That's why i felt bad for her at the end. Especially after she told Robbie she wanted to be the best at something for one point in her life before it all goes to sh*t basically.

I was rooting for Cobra Kai this season. I've found Sam insufferable for the most part. And Miguel... not very compelling I suppose? #sorrynotsorry

Yeah Miguel was a bit weird this time around. Almost like background character
I did notice that his weight fluctuates throughout the series, I wonder if he had other filming commitments

I wasn't sure about the cameo from Ralph Macchios daughter just seemed shoe horned in 🤷‍♀️

I didn't want to be mean, but you can especially tell in the flashbacks he's packed on a little weight and didn't look better for it. Maybe that's the reason he
didn't fight in the last episode 😂 Couldn't compare to Robbie and Eli strip tease!!

Yes not shaming at all. Just noticeable from a continuity point of view.

Maybe!

Hope they get a big name in to play his father give him a story arc.

I’m trying to think which characters they haven‘t brought back? Maybe they could reanimate Mr Miagis corpse in season five?
Was The Next Karate Kid with Hillary Swank canon? There were theories she could be Tory's mother but I don't think that would tie in well at all. I just don't think she had anything to do with the rest of that film universe

Finished season 3 and looking forward to 4. It is a bit overdramatic at times but overall, well made and just enough light parts to balance things out. Johnny is a favourite of course, but I also like Robbie’s character. Miguel in the final episode had a few moving moments of good acting, though I agree his character this season felt off. Hawk’s character development took some interesting turns this season. I really like that they’ve been able to bring back most of the major characters from the original movies. They’re cashing in on nostalgia for sure and bringing the karate kid franchise to the next generation.

I love this show. What I really like is that it's very self-aware and it knows it could be very genuinely cheesy but it plays up to that. It has plenty of tongue-in-cheek moments to negate accusations of being OTT. It deliberately has the vibe of an 80's early evening TV show, IM0.
