Classic Eastenders #2 Lisa & Louise have gone overseas & it’s far too soon for Alfie Moon

I forgot Janine had Barry cremated before she returned home. So callous.

Completely ridiculous though.

Barry died on Thursday 1st January 2004. Of course the police were making enquiries into Barry’s death. 1st Jan is a Bank Holiday

Friday 2nd Jan was another Bank Holiday in Scotland

You’ve then got the weekend

Yesterday’s 2nd episode was broadcast on Monday 5th January which would have been the first working day of the new year

So the police finished their enquiries (with or without a post mortem), released his body, Janine obtained a death certificate, arranged a cremation and collected the ashes in an urn all over the bank holidays and a weekend with only one working day in that time frame which also includes Janine travelling back to London

No matter how ridiculous and completely impossible all of the above was, seeing the looks on Pat & Natalie’s face when she produced the urn from the Highland Shortbread bag and plonking it on the table was priceless. It was quite a camp moment
