Karen is my all time favouriteAgreed, I love Les and Janice! And I'm so looking forward to the appearance of Karen McDonald, I missed most of her episodes first time around

I didn't like the Battersby family first time round, but watching it back now I don't think they are that bad. I think I've been desensitised over the years by some of the more outrageous characters and genuinely bad actors like Cilla and Gemma!haha yes this was hilarious! Aired a few weeks back. A lot of people don’t seem to like the Battersbys but I love them, they definitely brought a breath of fresh air that was needed
For me, Hailey is up there with the best charactersHas the esteemed Hayley arrived??
Oh I hope she has!
I'm a little behind the rest of you, rapidly fast forwarding due to constant Mallet irritation
Vera shouting out the window to Jim & Gary they’re barred Jack taking extra bread up the ladder to butter for the sandwiches Vera taking the ladder so Jack had to stay downstairs so we’ll written & the acting spot onBrilliant pair of episodes yesterday! The staircase saga was hilarious, something that the current writers just couldn't replicate today! I loved how Alec refused to pay up as they weren't his stairs but then said he had right of access once Jack and Vera had stumped up the cash! The Hayley scenes were sweet but excruciating at the same time. I'd forgotten how shy she was and felt so sorry for her when Audrey sent her packing. I also really liked the Nick and Leanne story, though I think you wouldn't recognise either of the characters in modern corrie as being the same. I've never believed in their relationship at all, they have no chemistry now, but back then they were a good match.
It had amazing pathos in them days the whole show was like the best sitcom drama rolled in one . EastEnders was never good at humour it outlived it's early promise pretty much within the first 15 years .I really liked the hilarious storyline around this time where Alec had set up an escort agency called Golden Years and was persuading Ken and one of the dates died in the toilet!
Oh my god got got is Nick thou I seen his nipple in the Scottish scene I nearly had kittensBrilliant pair of episodes yesterday! Just a heads up.
Weekdays at 6:00am & 6:25am ITV3 usually repeat the previous weekday afternoon’s Classic Corrie (CC) episodes.
Of course they are not showing CC in the afternoon over Easter (Good Friday & Easter Monday) so naturally you would assume that there will be no ‘repeats’ on Monday & Tuesday morning.
However they are still showing 4 ‘new’ episodes on Monday & Tuesday morning, the same episodes that would have been shown in those previous afternoon slots. Don’t be surprised if you usually watch in the afternoons and tune in on Tuesday afternoon thinking they have skipped 4 episodes
The same is also happening with Classic Emmerdale
She gets that gig, cos her mother wrote it and is the executive director.I watched The Syndicate the other night and Judy Mallet is now running a newsagents. Same character different name.
