Classic Coronation Street #5 Just have a little patience cropper!

Did I miss something yesterday? They showed Martin and David having tea, next thing Nartibs in the police car - they never showed him being arrested.

Nope you didnā€™t miss anything. I presume when David was at Martinā€™s that was when the police came and arrested him hence why we saw David running to Gailā€™s from the direction Martin lives, but it would have been nice to have seen the actual arrest

I think this is the best episode theyā€™ve ever done šŸ¤£.

It was a such a great sequence - utterly inconsequential in the greater scheme of things (which I suppose was the point as it was filler) but an absolute joy to watch, like its own little sitcom. ā€œKen recently had an affair with an actressā€¦ā€
The thought struck me that theyd probably not get away with that scene nowadays as itā€™d be viewed trivializing alcoholism and AA

Blanche reading the wrong book, Grinding Hard :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Someone posted that on Twitter a couple of days ago. The scene building up to that gag when theyā€™re sitting around talking about the book is just brilliant

Best thing is she goes from daily wailing like a banshee to singing and dancing to Tom Jones in the pub. When they decide to leave. Unfortunately the police interrupt the joyous moment and arrest Angela for murder.
Shame she couldnā€™t have called into the hairdresserā€™s on her way.

Could one of you tell me if this Blanche scene has aired already please?

This was 2001. She calls in to give Audrey a birthday card.

I thought the best thing about leaving work at lunch due to illness was watching Homes Under The Hammer. Now I canā€™t decide if itā€™s Janiceā€™s hair donā€™t, Rosieā€™s eyebrows or Blanche Hunt everything.
So glad you mentioned Rosie's eyebrows! I'm dying to reach through the screen and fill them in!

Janice looks like Lulu in the 70's

I almost half expect her to break into song with 'You make me wanna shout', everytime she gets into conflict with Danny.

Neville Buswell not doing a bad job as the returned Ray Langton, considering he barely did any acting in the 26 years since he last played Ray.

Apart from a brief cameo in the Corrie spin off 'Viva Las Vegas'.

Enjoying the Ray storyline far more than the endless Angela and Katy sobfest.
I was thinking the exact same thing, that the actor who played Ray was really good and it's a pity that he hadn't been in it more over the years. I like how you can see that Tracy takes after him, and where her badness comes from, it kind of makes her character make sense.
I think the actress who plays Angela is doing a good job but Katy is unwatchable, really annoying!

Iā€™m watching on ITV X and Iā€™m fast forwarding the Katy/Angela storyline.

Thereā€™s no reason for either of them to be acting like this! Why is she jumping every time the phone rings or a car drives past?!

Quite frankly, the story i'm more interested in is Ray Langton's return after 26 years, with Tracey, Ken, Deirdre and Blanche's ongoing reaction to this.

The story is sadly being over shadowed by the death of nasty Tommy by Katie.

Tommy was one of those characters that wasn't missed at all.
