Celebrity MasterChef

I am surprised Joe is still in the competition but much as I loved Dion, his dish lacked ambition and the rice dish was poorly executed.

I really think Joe will struggle to beat Kadeena or Megan tomorrow if they are on form, usually they need to produce a 3 course meal.

I am routing for Kadeena, but in competitions like this I refuse to let myself get riled up. May the best cook (on the day) win!

😂 I wish I could not get riled as it is obviously futile. And Squash must have a bit of cooking skill I know.
I just get a horrible feeling he is being manoeuvered into winning this thing, at times imo unfairly. I have no idea why. It makes no sense.
I just hope tomorrow isn't the usual Joe flailing around messing up then miraculously producing winning food.

Being of Caribbean heritage, my heart always sinks when I see Caribbean contestants - I say to myself "please don't cook jerk chicken and/or rice & peas" The same with African contestants always cooking Jollof rice. Thankfully this time it was Kem who didn't veer far from his Turkish roots. However, I fully agree Dion's dish wasn't very ambitious even though in tribute to his late mother, and then not even cooked properly. Far too weak a dish for this most important round.

Anyone else love Michel Roux

If it is not a repeat or if you are not already aware, Michel has a programme on the Food Network channel currently being shown:

I keep saying I know it is a cooking and personality competition, but Joe's persona is just so off-putting. I fully agree about the unnecessary bantz - awful. The bloke has no filter, I bet the other contestants wished he would just shut up. He is also filthy and slovenly - workspace, floor around him and his aprons - yuk! Don't get my started on "My Stace..."
My apologies - I missed out the most important word of my post - NOT

I keep saying I know it is a cooking and not personality competition...

I think Kadeema will win! 👩🏾‍🍳
At this final stage, I don't mind if Kadeema or Megan win, as both have done very well to come so far. Either one of them rather than Joe.

I have never disliked a contestant as much as I do Joe, and for him to be in the final is a farce. By now, in previous series' if I didn't have a favourite I was rooting for, I would wish all of them well. I can't for Joe.

Joe might be being kept in for entertaining and character purposes. Kadeena is a far better winner from narrative point of view
Well if that’s the case they erred on the stupid side didn’t they. 🤫😉
Seriously, it’s not just on here that Joe is so universally criticised, it’s every chat forum you read.
Apart from the ‘bantz ’ keeping himself and his work station so untidy is just yuck.
He’s also fibbing about his lack of basic cooking skills, at the very beginning he knew how to add cornflower to thicken his custard.

I saw a previous Masterchef (can't remember if it was the original or professional series) but they sent home a chef in one round because he was consistently sloppy and messy. (Anyone else remember this?) How has Joe gotten away with it.

That seems harsh! If it does't affect how the food turns out I don't see why they should penalised for being messy! Though maybe if it was professional it would be more understandable.

Obviously in the minority but I like Joe, kem is the one I've had issues with. His fake I can't cook narrative has been so blindingly obvious. I do agree that this year something feels more staged, I don't know whether it's this batch of celebs are worst actors (kem can't deliver lines at all), or the writing, direction or editing is different but it all feels fake.

Also why couldn't Megan make a normal pie, she didn't have to eat it, just make it.
Yay someone else in the I-don't-hate-Joe minority! I'm surprised by the amount of hate he gets on here though he did start to grate on me a bit last night. Don't mind him but he def shouldn't win.
And I agree I found Kem a lot more unlikeable, fake and arrogant!

Sorry poor photo from my tv but what the chuff is on his head. Was that the hair he started with? 😂

Really hope Joe doesn’t win since it’s obvious he’s just had someone tell him what to do and given him a recipe. Dion’s wasn’t good but at least he came up with it himself. Kadeena hopefully for me

I don't actually hate Joe - just find him beyond irritating and wish he would shut up. I also think he has been, for some bizarre reason, helped a lot.

Attached are a selection of tweets about him (taken from the Stacey Solomon thread). Yikes 😬 Almost feel sorry for him.

Joe’s the definitive version of a PLONK [Person of Limited or no Knowledge]
But he’s not hateful, should just stay within the field of reality TV shows which suit his personality better, there are plenty of them 🤫

I swear to god if Joe wins tonight It’s a fix. I’m gutted for Dion, such a nice guy. His Tom kerridge challenge was much more difficult and technical than joes. Such a shame he messed up the rice on his last dish.

Rooting for Kadeena!!! But wouldn't mind if Megan won, she has been good.
Yes I think either of the girls are worthy winners.
