Are his forearms as nice in the flesh as they are on the TV? Just asking for er the posters in the jack monroe thread....honesty....

— The forearms certainly distracted me 😍😉

Nadir?! Thats such a shame. Was she shy do you think? Was her food that nasty then?

Not surprised about ruby. She seems to suck the life out of everything and everyone.

— I can only speak as I found her and it certainly wasn’t as her TV image. I didn’t take to her at all but she could just have been having a a bad day - like we all do. Her food was a definite no from me and the crew though 🤢

Yay about matt and his forearms!!

Oh well that is surprising, about her and her food. I suppose not wanting to eat something must be a bit of a respite when working on a cooking show - I'd want to eat it all 🐷🐷

Be affraid! Be VERY affraid!

Some of the comments on the Daily Mail article with those Gregg Wallace pics in have given me a right laugh this evening.

It looks like someone's photoshopped his head onto the wrong body? Doesn't look right?!

🤢 I get a little bit of sick in my mouth every time that thumbnail pops up here or on Twitter 🤢

Ooh I have a few favourites
Anthony Bourdain- loved his recipe books, his tv shows and even his fiction. And he was lovely looking...
Peter Gordon - his recipes are fusion but they work.
Nancy Lam- totally eccentric
Cyrus Todiwala - brilliant chef and always a great watch.

Nadia Hussain - incredibly stand-offish and the only person whose food I’ve seen be rejected by the crew. Needed so much input from the food technologists but then ignored their advice!
She does suffer from well documented severe anxiety so that may be part of it. I do sometimes think with home cooks that they arent as good as they think they are because their diners have been eating their food for so long they're used to it. I am Indian descent so make a lot of Indian food for the family. Occasionally we'll go to an Indian restaurant ( not all of them are good but theres a proper good one near us) and the kids will eat what I make them at home annoyingly and say ' it's not like you make it' I dont tell them thats because that's what it's supposed to taste like 😄

I think Matt Tebutt often looks hungover on Saturday Kitchen. Always a bit sweaty and jittery.

He talks way too much and the food gets lost in the constant cheery banter. Rarely watch SK now.

One thing I hate about Nigella’s programmes is the exaggerated food sounds especially when she’s stirring something gloopy. Splop splop splop. Once you’ve noticed it, it’ll drive you crazy.

Love Nigella though.

I can't watch Nigella's shows, partially for that, partially the unnecessary 'sexiness' and the ill contrived TV falsehoods "oh I was on bed but really fancied waffles so had to come and make them on the middle of the night", full make up and in a silky dressing gown. Cue to her cooking in the same get up in day light. 🙄

Is she still on the white stuff?

He is a nice fella. He has a long standing restaurant in Didsbury, Manchester which he is still passionate about. It’s where he made his roots. He owns a large drinking and eating establishment in the city centre and is often there with friends. I work with someone who is good friends with him. Him and his family live in a hip but more gritty suburb of Manchester (compared to Didsbury)
He also owns a couple of very good gastro pubs on the Wirral, which is where he is from. I’ve been a couple of times and he’s been sat at the bar having a pint with his local mates.
There is a trip advisor review somewhere where he came into one of his restaurants on a Monday evening and started rebuking the staff in front of everyone it was described as out of order and diva esq and not representative of what the reviewer had experienced

I’ve met Jean Christophe Novelli at a work thing, he had on a LOT of fake tan.

Jamie Oliver - unpopular opinion I know but I really like him. I think essentially he loves food

Nigel Slater - Food looks amazing, loved reading Toast, a great adaptation too

HFW - I put the ☕ on the Celeb gossip but basically a wanking philanderer

Nigella - cannot warm time her after hearing her on a podcast where she seemed devoid of all personality and humour

Keith Floyd - still love him, my friend’s brother used to go to his book signings and said he was a right laugh

Can’t stand John Torode (weird mouth makes me feel ick) or Simon Rimmer whose hips seem to wide for a man?
