Yes, they definitely named the judge Simon to make them think that. Not sure if was commented on but it made me smile when BB said Judge Simon and Marisha’s eyes lit up
“Cowell?!”
What a disappointment lol

Agree alm
Agree almost except on Nikita.
It’s disappointing in a way that he does not seem to fully address Fern’s beefs and listen to her but she is a loose cannon and he’s already witnessed her spite with ES (deserved or not and the HMs’ perception may be different).
To me Nikita seems incredibly wary which is understandable given a) he is mid 20s and English not his first language; b) He will have been warned it is career suicide to be seen to argue with an older woman. c) He possibly has been warned off Fern after her attacks (as Strictly community would see it) in Artem; d) he just can’t handle her.
I really want to like Fern as relate to her drunken aunty antics, feeling unheard and generally putting herself out there. Her father’s rejection must have been hard.
However, I really don’t like her spiteful side and the way she weaponises the age thing and turns it on young people to make THEM look bad. Total gaslighting. A dangerous woman who other HMs especially younger ones must find intimidating.
Fern has to deal with getting older but Nikita was diagnosed with T1 diabetes at 13. Wonder how Fern would have dealt with that?!
Nikita’s young life has not been a walk in the park with a nomadic existence and dealing with other languages, close family in war torn countries. Has Fern experienced that?
He hasn’t shown the sparkle he does on Strictly as not his natural environment but he has not done anything wrong.
My take on the Fern Nikita drama, and I have no particularly strong feelings about either of them tbh.
It's been obvious since day one that Nikita seemed to have an issue of some kind with Fern. He's been sullen around her and I've seen some speculation about why this might be (her being rude about her SCD pro?) but who knows.
I think was Fern was attempting to say to him last night was that she felt slightly patronised by the "it's in fashion you know" comment. I don't think she was implying he was nasty or anything, just that younger people sometimes see older people as old and invisible. I remember my Nan commenting on when shop staff etc started saying things like "aww bless" to her and she felt really patronised.
He didn't say "it's in fashion you know." He said "I like your top. Stripes are in fashion." There was nothing patronising in his tone. It was a throwaway comment that Fern held onto for days then twisted it into something ageist when she had a few wines and was clearly feeling bitter. She's becoming more grumpy and immature by the day and her behaviour towards Nikita had been completely unfair. My take on the Fern Nikita drama, and I have no particularly strong feelings about either of them tbh.

I saw that too but afaik, her time on Strictly was way back, and the pro is gone since before Nikita's time.I've seen some speculation about why this might be (her being rude about her SCD pro?) but who knows.
Agree on all except Nikita!Unpopular opinion coming up, but I like Colson, he seems a nice grounded young lad and reminds me of an ageing Labrador, Zee Zee was really annoying me glad she's gone. I don't like Nikita but he did pull off his stunt of of putting himself up for eviction and is still in there. Not surprised that Fern isn't that nice she wad brought up in a showbiz acting family where the friendly false mask is the norm. Louis isn't particularly nice but he is observant and entertaining. I was sorry to see Marisha leave I liked her.
I know a number of neuro divergent young people and none of them act childishly like Bradley.
Fern annoyed me yesterday making the snake episode all about her. Louis was fine with it and acted more maturely. Fern is desperate for attention and validation from people which I find rather self centred. She had to get sympathy for herself when she should have told Louis privately that it was her and made a joke about it.
That really annoyed me too, Fern the martyr boo hoo.
They all knew anyway, didn't they? I got the impression that they had all guessed correctly that it was Fern.To be fair it was BB that told her to gather everyone together and tell them.
I’m sure she’d have done it privately if BB hadn’t said that.
Yes most of them guessed it was her straight awayThey all knew anyway, didn't they? I got the impression that they had all guessed correctly that it was Fern.
Apart from Louis.

Yes the argument over bleeping stripes being in fashion was ridiculous. I'm inclined to think Nikita thought he was paying her a compliment and she took it to mean that he was amazed an older woman would know what's in fashion. He didn't say "it's in fashion you know." He said "I like your top. Stripes are in fashion." There was nothing patronising in his tone. Fern found out that Nikita voted for her to be evicted, three times.
I can't even remember how it came about that that was revealed? Did anyone else find out anything similar about who had voted for them?
I certainly agree that order people aren't always shown any respect and that Fern is finding it hard because she has no mates in there. It was revealed during the Brainless part of the Evil fairy tale shopping task. The 3 lads were in the task room, and it came up as a question how many times has Nikita voted for Fern to leave!
I think it must be hard for Fern in there, what do you do and say if you find out Nikita has voted for you three times? Or you find out Big brother was lying to you about the snake task. Her head must be all over the place.
She is already being isolated from most of the group because of her age. It currently too easy to become invisible to younger people as you age. Her comment to Nikita about still having a 26 year old mind inside a 60 year old woman really resonated with me. As an older woman I wish my experiences and knowledge would be respected, and not dismissed.
Big Brother is often unkind to contestants, but this year they have been unkind I think to Fern, dressing her as the fairy godmother in a task where the evil side of the house was celebrated, it was a badly considered costume because she was having big issues with her mike and battery pack, fitting correctly, and I didnt like the way ITV edited Ekin Su.
I agree. She feels unheard and lonely, probably exhausted by now, excluded from the clique, hurt by Nikita constantly nominating her, and behaved badly after a few rosés. Nikita talked over her or they might have had a good conversation.I certainly agree that order people aren't always shown any respect and that Fern is finding it hard because she has no mates in there.
I don't think Fern is helping herself though. If she didn't get so wound up over inconsequential things and was a bit more laid back she'd probably find it easier.
I agree being "nice" wouldn't have worked in her line of work especially as she is a woman but I think she is pretty straight talking to the point of brutality but I also don't think that race/gender / sexual preference comes into it.She denies that she said it though, so who do we believe? There's no proof either way is there.
Personally I don't think that Sharon is a 'nice' person. She's been catty and nasty to many people during her career but I don't believe that her dislike of anyone is race based. She dishes it out to everyone
