Christ so now a TV program wants to be inclusive and show diversity and she has a problem with it
She’s very much in the same vein as Nina Tame, another ‘disability advocate’, whereby whatever you do in regards to disability and people with disabilities, it’s wrong, especially if you’re able bodied and even if you have a child/children with a disability.

Yeah I question this. Also to be fair, I don't much see anything that offensive about that article. She moans about awareness and how she hates the word but then what is the point of all her educating regarding disability? I understand its a personal thing to her and she wants to share her experiences which is fair enough, but considering how much she lectures surely she is doing that to a degree for awareness? Baffling.

She would be the 1st to pipe up when it comes to discussing a lack of disability on TV. I honestly don't know what would please her.

I found it strange she shared a post from Africa Brooke the other day.

I really like Africa, she’s very much against cancel culture and is for open conversation and not being victimised. What she talks about seems to go very much against how Cathy is as a person.

I wonder whether she thought she would score woke points by sharing a post from a woman of colour 😒

I honestly think Instagram is rife with personality disorders, except they're all championing a cause so if you dare suggest any of it is bullshit (I'm talking the dream stuff here rather than disability discrimination), you're a monster. bleeping baffling.

Every post is just people going, "so IMPORTANT!" and crawling up each other's arseholes without actually really doing anything tangible. They're all pleased with themselves though which is presumably the point.

Did anyone see the post yesterday (now deleted I think) about how people in cars were pointing and laughing about her and her kids? Obviously this is awful behaviour, but the people that were commenting in support of Cathy were getting a proper telling off for not 'doing the work.' Also today she's turned off comments on her latest post and complained on her story it wasn't getting enough attention. What does this woman want???

Yeah, people can’t win with with her. I notice she picks and chooses who she attacks too. Two people posted something like “who does that to a child” and one gets tit from her about how dare she be surprised that someone would do that and the other person... nothing.

And as much empathy as I have for people who experience stuff like this because of visible disability, she’s oblivious to the fact that this happens to lots of people without disability too and seems to think no one outside of her own experience can possibly empathise with having tit shouted at them from a car.

This is the huge problem with her over and over. She posts her experiences as a disabled woman and mother regularly, but seems to get more angry at the messages of support from her "fans" then she does about the act itself. Every single response infuriates her to the point where I think well why bother sharing with us? She recently posted about her experience walking through town where someone took a photo of her and an old man tried to accost her down an alleyway (personally I find that second one a bit dubious) and she literally turned off her comments because "people prefer shock over action" I just don't get it. How does she want people to react? What exactly is it that she wants when she shares her experiences? She is so hostile and spiky, plus I also find her personality just quite self absorbed.

Moaning again on Instagram today! This time the grumpy staff member at the hotel must totally be doing it because she doesn’t like helping disabled people and every experience Cathy has with rude people must also be because she’s disabled. Does she not realise rude people are part and parcel of life and are something everyone experiences? Not everything is about your disability, Cathy. Sometimes people are just arseholes. Although I suppose it’s a convenient excuse for her own behaviour when she rubs people the wrong way she can blame their ableism.

Used to really like her content, and learn a lot from it. Feel like she's always angry about something, and actually takes it out on followers who are trying their best to empathise and learn. "DO BETTER" because your best isn't good enough whatever you do, basically. This is partly why people disengage with influencers like Cathy. They can do nothing right. I don't need approval and to be told I'm 'right', but don't beg people to engage with your content then thrash them fo it.
Nowadays she's just desperate to bag a book deal (just kidding, although she's, like, mentioned it serval times now, written some words, just kidding though. "Where's my book deal?' haha jk '6 figures right?!').
UGH.
There's a certain circle of UK feminist insta influencers who are all scrounging for a book deal, and all of these women bashed FG in some way when there was controversy, including Cathy. When more info emerged, and the SF claims were not what they seemed, Cathy uploaded one slide saying she shouldn't have spoken on this issue and wouldn't comment further. So, public flogging of Florence without all the facts is fine, but no public apology.
The reason I mention this is because all these insta 'famous' women wouldn't even have a sniff of a book deal if it wasn't for Florence! I'm a critical fan of hers, but she has paved the way for all these boring, angry grifters to sell their stories.

When it comes to content about feminism or disability or whatever else these Instagram wannabes are talking about, they have absolutely nothing to say on the subject that hasn't already been written with more skill and talent.

Even when the whole FG/SF thing kicked off - what have either of them written about feminism that hasn't already been said by far more interesting and accomplished writers in the last half century? I can't think of much Instagram content, even when it's an accessible introduction to a subject for a new audience, that's genuinely worthy of a book.
