I would be surprised if it were, her songs can be completely dropped without making any difference to the show, just leaving a few spoken lines which I'd have thought they could get anybody to walk on and read, with a script if necessary, it's not unheard of for that to happen.

Would have said Al and maybe Mel are the only ones critical to the show, they both have quite lengthy "audience interaction" segments that stand-ins may not be very good at.

But maybe it is, perhaps the excitement of the car wash has utterly overwhelmed her, or the tough steak has given her days long indigestion. I'm sure she'll post something like a pregnancy Q&A soon enough to prove it's not her if it isn't!

Didn't someone report on Theatreboard that when she called out at short notice on the day before the wedding, they actually did send a swing onstage reading from a script? Yeah, I think it would've been Al or Mel

Al’s been off before because Kieran Brown went on to cover him. I think it’s most likely a covid related thing or something more severe.

Cancelling the show is the last thing production will do as they don’t want to loose money. They’ll do majorly cut shows before pulling a performance entirely.

Another local to MK tattler here who just saw the announcement, a lot of cross theatre goers who want ticket exchanges rather than credit because the prices have gone up since they booked and it'll cost them £20+ more now.
The comments are funny, particularly like the one of "there is a pregnant cast member who has been suffering with sickness".........

Indisposition is a word I've not seen before!
Indisposed makes it sound like someone has been arrested 🤣

Indisposition is a word I've not seen before!
Aside from really old books (for example men saying their mother or wife was indisposed when she didn't wanna see someone annoying), I've only seen it used in Italy and it was used frequently for a woman feeling unwell while on her period.

Maybe since the show is set in 16something, they're using language suitable for the time in their announcements. 😹😹😹
Anyway I'd say this is because of a female cast member, at least based on how I've seen the word used before.

I'm sorry but It kinda gives me the ick that she calls the baby Peanut, it's just not a thing where I'm from and I find it so weird 😭

Indisposition is actually used all the time in theatre! For example if a lead actor has to be changed out at some point in the show, there will be an announcement that says “due to the indisposition of x, the role of y will now be played by z”

I guess it’s more of a blanket statement that manages to give the actors some privacy rather than saying they’re sick/injured/family emergency or whatever

Oh interesting! I've not heard it used, but perhaps as I've never be at a show where someone has fallen ill (thankfully for all involved!).

I hate that she's using it as that was our in-utero nickname for our second and I don't want the memory tainted. Rude. 😂 and he nearly got called that IRL too because boys names are hard and we were stumped right up to birth. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Had nicknames for both of mine, I thought most people did 😳
