I'm off to see Richard E Grant's one man show in promotion of his book in a couple of weeks. I saw the online stream of this earlier in the yr. For about £40 I have a front row seat and a guaranteed book signing session. If it's like the last one it's one man and a mic. Possibly a screen for slides/photos.No set required and it's thoroughly entertaining and moving. He's a way bigger star then she can even dream of being and I highly doubt he has any of those diva bollocks and he just rocks up n goes/

oh god for sure. I was weeping enough reading the book on the tube recently. I have met him many times over the yrs until Covid and sort of had a vague acquaintancy with him.( The last time we met he was giving me unsolicited job advice) etc.(he is so sweet and had a amazing memory - the first time I met him he knew my Twitter avatar and even pointed out details on it I hadn't noticed!) I never met Joan but I do sort of "know" him and his daughter for want of a better terminology and this whole past few years has made me very emotional about him and his circumstances already. If we get to meet again I will cry for sure just as I still do now with people I never thought I'd see again after Covid.
 
Ok so she’s not driving herself, but does this count for a mark off the bingo card? Normal performers would just y’know, make their way to the next venue but she’s had to show us that she’s specifically in a car on her way to Southampton

On the topic of her car travel, does anyone remember in an old video were she stated she suffered from terrible car sickness and that's why she preferred public transport?
I wonder why it's no longer an issue or was it another of her "not like other girl qualities" 🤔
 
I went to see an evening with ALW. Say What you want about him He had a huge amount of entertaining stories from over 40 years
It was him, the interviewer, a screen and a couple of singers to sing his songs. Two hours of chat/singing just £25 and hardcopy of his memoir.
I have no idea who she thinks she is with her repeated stories every has heard from her repeated shows.

And oh my god wasn’t she just reading Richard E Grant’s book when putting together this show? And went to Rob’s show also….

My mom has suffered with motion sickness (not just car, everything else too) her whole life and it doesn't manifest itself when she's driving because she's extremely focused on the task. I've heard the same for other people.

Although I wouldn't put it past Carrie to lie, considering she lies about having anxiety too.

As someone that suffers with motion sickness and barely travels as a result, the idea that someone might lie about this makes my blood boil.

Yes because Southampton is so far from London that it warrants a post?! All hour and a half of it, two hours max if traffic clear.

Also, why is she taking photos while driving?!

I’m one of those people. I don’t understand it but I am totally fine when I’m driving. I feel like I’ve seen photos and footage of her in cars and not driving seeming okay though.

I get horrible motion sickness if I’m a passenger but ok if driving. I’d prefer driving 8 hrs myself just not to get sick. And forget using my phone in the car (like her Q&As she was doing during panto).

All the recent anxiety talk is what reminded me of it. Shes been shown in the past constantly on her phone whilst in the car, which definitely wouldn't help any nausea.
