It is much, much, much better! (Heard a rumour that Walt Disney visited the park for inspiration 🤭) Had an annual pass for a year, unfortunately covid joined that party so we could only use it for about 6 months

Prices are much better as well (despite being really high for Dutch standards)

Oh god 🤣🤣🤣 they are so stuck in the social media world of 7 years ago. I don't know anyone who posts the 'let's pretend I'm asleep' pics who doesn't then get mocked.

What's worse is that hotel is stunning, stayed there last summer, had a great view of the lake too. But Carrie just takes it all for granted.

Also agree with previous posters, it's by far the most beautiful Disney park, and also one of the most 'disney' compared to how the American parks are going these days
 
I used to work at one of the Disney parks as a character.
As long as cast members don’t ruin the magic by outright saying things like, “I’m Ariel today!” and instead use “my friend Ariel” or “hanging out at the Grotto today” stuff like that, you’re okay. Use good sense and don’t overdo it, but it’s fine when smart about it.

When Disney adults come by, we do try to get them moving in a polite and in-character way for a few reasons. 1) the main goal is to meet kids and create magic for them. 2) we have a quota we need to meet and Disney adults tend to (not always) want conversations.
I also feel like this is a good time to point out that there is a huge difference between Disney adults and adults who visit Disney. If that makes sense.

someone asked what do characters talk to Disney adults about. Askif they’re having a good day. What have they done. What do they want to do. But typically,THEY do the talking and you play along. “I saw your friend Flounder earlier today. He wanted me to tell you hi.” Spoiler: they are referring to a flounder toy they saw at the shops. Or sometimes you get THOSE guests who make comments about “eating Flounder’s family at dinner.” With kids around.

I’m getting off track.

Last point I had was her poses. At the parks, we refer to those as princess poses. At some point in her many Disney visits, I guarantee a princess said “do you want to pose like a princess? I’ll show you!” And Carrie has continued to do those poses while at Disney ever since.
 
I am a massive love island fan as well and I was just watching the winners from last summer (Davide and Ekin-Su) fooling around, dancing, laughing and completely in love for a little tick tok video.

I can’t help but compare the two couples - only a few months separates them in regards to when they became a couple and they could not be more opposite.

I’m no relationship coach but my goodness Carrie and Joel look like a very old couple, 20 years into a very stale marriage, where is the sexual chemistry/the intimacy???

I’m sure her Instagram followers and fans must be very confused by her posting that story as they are all enjoying her content? Then this random shady post turns up defending being cringe and her fans are like, what? What happened? What did I miss?

Considering they aren't even likely in love, that just shows the bigger gap between them and Joel and Carrie. She is being out acted by Love Islanders

In other exciting news Joel’s BFF Handsome Man Bun has joined the cast of Eastenders as ‘lodger Jed’.
Fingers crossed someone makes a Jed reel.
Palette cleanser needed.
 
I'd already ticked off the weather bingo box so not much movement to report rn.

It doesn't surprise me, but I do find it sad to travel to Paris and not actually see the city AT ALL. I've been to DLP several times, for a full day and honestly I'm unsure why you'd want or need to be there several days (but to each their own, busy parks just aren't my favourite thing). It sounds much more appealing to spend maybe 2 days doing DLP and then maybe 2 days actually IN Paris, enjoying the museums, culture, monuments... It just feels like such a waste to only spend the time in the parks.

Even more so when Chucky and Shrek are spending all the time on their phones, absorbed by their own gormless faces.

Travel. See the world. Disconnect. Branch out further than Mickey mouse.

I was just about to say the same, we never see them holding hands. Mind you, you're right, it is pretty difficult to walk hand in hand when you've got your phone glued to your hand.

Also, it totally gives me the ICK seeing Shrek re-post all these people coming up to them for photos. He is absolutely loving the attention, isn't he?! He is lapping it up. He really, honestly and truly thinks HE is a celebrity, doesn't he?! He thinks these people are actually wanting to meet HIM and they want a photo with HIM. It's Carrie they want mate, not you. He has got to worm his way into every aspect of her life, doesn't he? How on earth has Carrie put up with him for so long?

I just feel so sad. I'm shocked and saddened that Carrie has become this person. I just don't understand why she hasn't kicked him out yet. He disgusts me in every way possible. I know that's an awful thing to say. WHY aren't her family stepping in and trying to do something? This whole situation is not normal and I just don't understand why alarm bells aren't ringing. What on earth are her parents doing allowing their daughter to marry this man? If her parents seriously allow their daughter to marry him I will be genuinely shocked and genuinely saddened that nobody loves her enough to stop this absolute madness from happening. Do you think her parents read here? We are not trolls or bullies. We are a group of people who used to like Carrie and enjoy her content. We care about her but just cannot understand how this car crash has been allowed to go on so long.

Sorry for the long post. I'm just feeling genuinely saddened about this shitshow tonight.
