I don't think they meant it like that

If I was rushing into a wedding with someone who was wrong for me, I would expect my family who care about me to step in and point out the red flags. If my sister/daughter was making a decision that felt rushed, taking advantage of them being down and it would impact the rest of their life then I wouldn't sit back and watch it happen

Thing is, this kind of intervention can push someone further into a bad decision. I wonder if that's what's happened with Carrie - we know what an obstinate person she is and how she won't be told no.

Exactly......thats what I said, they can voice concerns..but ultimately its up to her, they can't stop her doing what she wants....she's a 30 year old grown women... albeit acting like a 12 year old girl!

I mean it's in France so of course they're going to have stuff in French, not sure why people would expect otherwise? Especially since DLP actively makes things bilingual so that everyone's happy.

It’s in French because most Europeans are bilingual and well, it’s in France. English people tend to expect English everywhere and that’s just not realistic

DLP is a great park and the rides are genuinely better and faster than their American equivalents. There is this attitude - and Carrie has it - that if it’s not American, it’s not worth doing but every park is held to the same standard by Disney

You guys are confusing me 🤣 should I visit DLP or not 🤔

Europa Park is not far from me, btw, so I've been a few times as a teen. I suppose it's more enjoyable when you're not scared of rollercoasters, and other fast rides 😅

Yes but go when it’s a bit warmer and when the European schools are off. When it’s sunny it’s indistinguishable from the US parks

I really can’t believe they’re spending another day at DLP instead of taking some time to see Paris while they’re there, it is really easy to get into the centre. Joel is so desperate for the Disney experience with her, you can see he’s going overboard in his Disney love to impress her 😂

Right? They should do whatever they enjoy on their holiday of course. But I never understand what could possibly be so entertaining about the same theme park she's seen a thousand times, that she has to spend the full three days there. Not even two days, so she can spend one exploring Paris. (Especially since she actually has the money to afford things in Paris haha). Is there really nothing else she's interested in? No museums that catch her attention, no restaurant she'd like to try? It just seems so boring.

Like, when she said she likes Disney because it offers happiness and kindness, that makes her sound so stunted and bland as well. That she'd rather be spoonfed cookie-cutter, corporation manufactured childlike happiness in the park, than have interesting new experiences in Paris.

Having seen their latest story, where Carrie looks like she's bundled up to face an Arctic trek, I looked up the weather forecast for DLP today. It's 4°C right now. Maybe I'm jaded because I live in the north of Scotland and that is a regular January day here, but I don't think it's that cold? And if they can't cope with that then how will they cope with the temperatures in Iceland (although I just looked those up and apparently it's 8°C in Reykjavik right now so 😅 )

I live on the south coast of the UK so similar weather to dlp at moment, its really not THAT cold. The way Carrie is acting you'd think she was in the artic

I'm currently in Paris for a work trip, and it's honestly cold here. It's rather breezy and the air feels icy. It's just not at all the right time of the year to be in DLP....

You definitely feel the cold more when you’re stood still too which they’ll be doing a lot of queuing for rides and waiting for parades and fireworks. If Joel was so desperate to take her on another Disney holiday maybe one of the other parks would have been better idea at this time of year.

What the duck are they gonna do in Iceland?! You need actual winter gear, I’ve never known wind like it 🥶

They’ll buy a bunch of stuff they’ll never use again from one of the shops there of course!
