I wouldn’t be surprised if she is having money/work anxiety. She’s probably still got more income than a lot of people right now (me included, thanks to my tourism career), but she’s also got a flat and now a house with major renovations to pay for and no solid job.
That’s possibly the reason for her mentioning her declining numbers, because less views/followers means less income. Her book sales might be lacking as well, which would be stressful for her.

It’s pretty much the definition of first world problems, but that doesn’t make it any less valid for her to be down and anxious about. I agree that vague booking is annoying, but she’s still a person with feelings who might be going through a rough patch

Her job is very unstable as it is and she has mortgage (I think) and rents her apartment, clearly her family is loaded. She wont go without. But I can tell her books and social media aren't as lucrative as they could be.. I wonder how many book sales she has.

It’s interesting that she’s chosen to start writing children’s books. Obviously, children are not her target audience and most won’t be on social media so she might not have the boost in sales that she got for her earlier novels aimed at teens/young adults. There is also a huge amount of competition from well-known children's authors and kids are tough critics. If the writing is dull or patronising, they won’t read it. I wonder if that’s causing her anxiety, as she had a guaranteed fan base for her last books.

I don’t think she has chosen to go in to children’s fiction- I think she has said she was approached to do it. Ballet Shoes is a classic novel which was first published in the 1930s and Carrie has written an updated reimagining of it. It is probably targeted at children who are too young to consider buying a book for themselves so the purchasers will be their mothers or even grandmothers who might know who Carrie is.
To be honest I hope it is money that she is worried about as opposed to do with her relationship or her health (those are two other things that could be scary to deal with). Money issues can always be dealt with.

For sure, I didn’t mean to dismiss the validity of whatever she’s going through. But, rather, just acknowledging the confusion it creates when she toes the line of getting too personal. For example, now people are already speculating on if it is a relationship issue, financial issue etc. when it could be something no one would even guess.

I think it is perhaps a contributing factor to why her social media is such a wreck. She can’t stay consistent on where her boundaries are or what type of content she’s going to make. When I used to think of her online personality it used to be positive, motivating, inspirational and informative. There were the occasional moments where she was snarky, or the are they/aren’t they relationship games she’d play probably for attention and views. That being said, I actually thought she did better at separating personal stuff from her public persona back then. Even the dear Tom and gi videos kept things pretty light, when you’d think those could have easily wandered into too personal territory.

Right now when I think of her social media, I tense up. If I’m going to look at her twitter or Instagram or even YouTube, I have to be prepared to encounter negativity. Either an angry rant, complaining, or attacking someone. If it’s at all positive, it’s at least awkward because it’s too personal, it’s breaking her own boundary rules etc.

I think while some of her critics would never watch her again, I think a lot of us would like to see her get her public image under control and get her social media behavior cleaned up. She’s just so hard to watch now. I do wish her happiness and I do care if she’s having a rough time, yet, at the same time, her fans are not her friends and she needs more consistent boundaries. If she wants to confide personal stuff to thousands of strangers, that’s up to her I guess. But she needs to pick a lane. Set boundaries and stick to them or don’t. The inconsistency is obnoxious and confusing to her fans who have trouble figuring out where her lines are drawn.

Ι believe the opposite, money issues depending how severe they are can make you homeless etc
Partners come and go. Overall,i hope she is just having a bit of hard times with no serious issues

I think the only time she's ever talked about an audition was Les Mis? As far as I'm aware anyway.
I believe that she said that she had always auditioned for her roles, and the only time she's ever been asked to come in would be Fantine. I personally believe her. It seems that when she originally got into Les Mis, she established herself as a core West End actor. The hiring committees always seem to favor the same reliable actors over and over again.

Maybe the truth hurts, she she's lost followers, works iffy atm, she's become very unlikeable, big headed, argues and attacks her followers, full of her own self importance, can't take any sort of feed back or criticism etc etc. this has been going on for a long time now, so other people are going to have also picked up on it!

Just me or has CHF morphed into a pound shop Michael Ball?! Curly hair, round glasses.... WHAT IS GOING ON HERE

I do think her Q&A yesterday seemed much less passive aggressive than previous ones, maybe she's realised that her attitude is losing her followers and thus revenue.

I'm not holding my breath it's a permanent change of attitude but let's hope anyway.

Her attitude, ego and the way she treats people and her fans needs to change if she wants to stop her numbers from dropping.

I'm sure a lot more people are beginning to pick up on it as we have. It's interesting that a lot of us noticed the personality shift around the same time period!

I’m sure others have picked up on it for a while now, probably just as long as us here. But the fact that even those in the industry have shown that they realized this too (look at the subtweets cropping up lately) is quite scary.

personally I think after the sheet music blowout last year, she has been trying hard to be better online. She hasn’t truly succeeded but I do hope she has learned a lesson or two from that.

I don’t think this is true as she has mainly been in the same shows over and over again. I don’t think she is classed as a ‘must have’ for producers or casting directors, unless it was Heathers and for that it was based on her following.

Sorry to go on about her Twitter numbers but another 300 have gone in just a couple of days.
Ouch, just looked on social blade. She's loosing more followers than she is gaining and is now officially below 500k.

So Oli is in Warrington visiting his family

I've been looking at her Twitter and she seems to be struggling quite badly at the moment with her anxiety and mental health. (Whatever your opinion is on Carrie, no one deserves to struggle with that)

I'm kind of surprised Oliver is leaving her alone if she's struggling the way she is. If my partner is like that, I either take him with me or stay so I know he's okay.

I'm not suggesting anything, I just find that awfully strange.
