To receive food from them, you must:
  • Register with the Environmental Health Office (EHO)
  • Be equipped to safely receive, store, prepare and serve or redistribute food
  • Staff supervising food handling and preparation must hold the IEHO Basic Food Hygiene Course Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Staff and volunteers handling food must be trained to do so safely
  • Adhere to food safety legislation and current good practice
My bold. Leaving food out on your drive is not storing food safely nor does it adhere to good practice. I hope they tell her to duck off

There's a "contact us" page on the website. Just saying. I'll be contacting them this evening.

I had chatgpt knock up another poem for FREE since Carlz hasn't treated us lately

In the heart of suburbia, there's Carly Carlz Burd,
With her salty allotment, not a single word,
For FREE she grows, her veggies so divine,
Sharing with farmers, elders, all in line.

Whiskers, her lawyer, a feline of might,
Fights for her rights, in the day and night,
For FREE legal counsel, he's always there,
With his whiskers a'fluff, and his legal flair.

But oh, Colin, that thorn in her side,
With his mischief and mayhem, nowhere to hide,
For FREE from his antics, she yearns to break free,
From his schemes and his tricks, she longs to flee.

Ethnically diverse, her six-fingered crew,
Tend to the garden, with laughter anew,
For FREE they lend hands, with joy and glee,
Creating a haven, where all can be free.

So here's to Carly, with soil on her hands,
And Whiskers, defending her fertile lands,
For FREE they stand, against all strife,
In a world where veggies and justice are rife.

I hope somebody lets them know, doubt she will

so the previous stuff has been stuff that other organisations had passed over or taken and couldn't get rid of? or is that bullshit?

We did suspect that it was the stuff that was so grim the regular food share charities wouldn't take it

So Booker etc were only to happy to give it to her otherwise they'd have to pay to dispose of it.

What's still a mystery is why people are happy to pick stuff off her drive rather than go to the proper Harlow food bank / Bounty Club outlet.

I wonder do people actually take the stuff from the drive?

I doubt it. If you don't live close to her you would have to drive or get a bus there. Then you have the embarrassment factor of anyone and everyone watching you take it.

If my next door neighbour was putting all of that out I cannot think of a time when any of the items she puts it would be that useful. It's mostly bread which may last 24 hours if you are lucky so you would have to eat it straight away.

I cannot imagine that all of it, or even most of it, gets taken.

Driveway swill is especially odd when a) she appears to have a shared driveway without any privacy division between them AND b) she puts the pallets on the shared side (I'm assuming this because on photos you can see the side to the right has different paving, so unless the drive was half paved in one style and half paved in the other, people are RIGHT outside her neighbours house whilst rifling through the sack of bread)

It's not a shared driveway, they are clearly marked. There is also a fence between the driveways but it only goes up half the length of the driveway.

The food is always situated right by the boundary. I'd be incredibly pissed off if I was the neighbour.

It is situated near to a bit busy road with a lot of foot traffic because its near a shop. It's also right near a primary school. Bit weird she didn't start her amazing school project there.

You would definitely be seen by people of you went there to get food.

Also, surely they're are rules about keeping am sure on food which can't be washed? I know fruit and veg is sometimes outside shops but you can wash that, bread you can't.

There is just no thought about dignity.

If this doesn't sum up everything, then I don't know what does.
I've been to Harlow Foodbank about 3 years ago. I was nervous but they were brilliant. I didn't feel they were doing me a favour, I didn't feel that they felt they were saving me from starvation. I just felt that they were giving me food.

It was more like they had food, I needed food, they gave me food and job done. None of this wanting praise tit that Carly does.

That £250k would have looked awfully pretty in the foodbanks accounts.

It would have looked pretty in the accounts of any of the charities that have asked for the non existent money she says she will share out.

I wonder how she gets on with that neighbour. If they complain about the mess and attracting vermin do they get told off for wanting people to starve?

She did what?

She held a competition for tesco vouchers?

Please tell me you are joking. 🙏
I can't find the exact post but it's discussed quite a bit on thread #2. She was giving away £92.50 or something of clubcard vouchers which she had earned by buying shopping for her friends eligible people who message her on her page. The worthy winner would be chosen by having her children decide who was best friends with Carlz the most poor and deserving. I don't think there was ever any confirmation of someone receiving them (but please correct me someone if this is wrong!).
