I think she's still in the bit a lot of parents experience where they're much less hard work than the baby/toddler stage but they haven't started throwing hormonally charged teenage curveballs yet. I remember thinking that my teen wasn't too bad until 14/15 hit.

My daughter was an absolute dream from labour and birth right up to 16/17. She’s been a bloody nightmare and a constant worry ever since although I think we are finally getting somewhere now she’s in her 20’s. And my son is 30 and has just gone through the most awful couple of years. Don’t count your chickens Bab!

And that’s annoyed me that she said they went away for a FEW days. That would indicate to me a minimum of 3 days. She should be saying a couple of days - but it’s Babs and she wants the Babettes to believe it was longer.

Also thought it was weird how she mentioned the proximity of toilets at the theatre. Your kids going to highschool, surely you don’t plan your days out around toilet trips.

I learned a valuable skill for meetings/conferences/interviews etc - if someone is talking you look at them and smile and show you are listening! (I learnt it when I once overhead someone with resting witch face get told off after a meeting for looking miserable!) When a person talking can see someone actively listening and taking an interest - even if it's not interesting - it puts them at ease and they're more likely to engage.

Wouldn't expect narc Babs to care though, she's just waiting until it's her time to talk about herself again.

Got a train offer coming for the summer? Got the tickets free then as part of an ad and she cant share it yet because she is waiting for approval. Erin got flights to Copenhagen and Ethan has free train tickets to London. Tell us again which is your favourite Babs.
