I know tis strange isn't it, but when you look at folks nowadays at that age, they look nothing like him!!!Me too. I wouldve said 70 at least!!
Were older people just “older “ then??
I've been waiting so long for a channel to repeat Brookie, well done STV, bet channel 4 are kicking themselves!!!STV Player have reported a record 1 million streams/views since they began re-showing Brookside.
I think they missed a trick there, find it strange that they didn’t!I've been waiting so long for a channel to repeat Brookie, well done STV, bet channel 4 are kicking themselves!!!
Yes, strange how they never repeated it on All 4!I think they missed a trick there, find it strange that they didn’t!
I had a look on ch4's ALL4 app & they only have 3 episodes, from various years available to watch.I've been waiting so long for a channel to repeat Brookie, well done STV, bet channel 4 are kicking themselves!!!
I know, they put up a few episodes, then nothing, didn't they show the first episode when channel launched?I had a look on ch4's ALL4 app & they only have 3 episodes, from various years available to watch.
Strange
Almost as though it doesn't fit with the channel's output these days.
The car locking thing. That was how all cars were locked back then??I am enjoying watching these very much. Wish the picture quality was better though, and I won’t watch it on the TV as they stretch the aspect ratio to widescreen.
Roger and Heather’s bickering is irritating, and the car locking palaver makes you grateful for remote central locking!
I also think Lucy and Gordon’s dad looks old. (Mind you, I’m 60 with a teenager.) Katrin Cartlidge, who played Lucy, went on to star in Mike Leigh films and other stuff, but sadly died in 2002, she was only 41.
The strike etc is a bit draggy but an important issue.
It’s surprisingly sweary and amazing what topics they have touched on already (period pain, infertility, bullying, dodgy business, counterfeit goods.)
Am watching 2/3 a night when each new batch comes along Used to love talking about it the next day at work, especially when it came to the Jordaches.
I don't know, I just downloaded the STV app!!I wasn’t allowed to watch brookside when I was a kid, my parents thought it was too racy I think! I used to try and sneak it on. Is STV available through sky q? Never heard of it!
Just search for it via sky and download them.I wasn’t allowed to watch brookside when I was a kid, my parents thought it was too racy I think! I used to try and sneak it on. Is STV available through sky q? Never heard of it!
think he knows its his boss though seeing as he was coming onto her before?I've just caught up on latest 5, (wish there was10), am finding some of it abit odd, like when flowers were delivered for Heather, her husband just read the note, then there was nothing, no scene of him asking her who they were from
