I'm still behind but it's just come to me that alot of tattlers had said they seemed off in a NZ (might have been Australia) vlog and they mentioned about dealing with something... I wonder if that's when Bonnie was put to sleep 🤔.

(Apologies if this has been mentioned or is completely off topic at this point, haha).

Yes, when they were in Cairns or Port Douglas I think. Could have been Bonnie, could have been that they were out of Eggs Benedict at breakfast that morning or BinScar hadn’t got Brogs’ one dress that still fit washed in time for their day out. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wonder this. If they’d been told in Australia that Bonnie was unwell it could explain them struggling to be upbeat. I wonder also whether this might have had a massive impact on the activities they did the rest of the trip. Regardless of what we all think of them leaving her, they would I’m sure have been knocked sideways (even if it were just for the fact they knew this would make them look worse for travelling for so long with an older pet). Possibly why (though probably giving too much credit) they struggled with the Asian stops that were less westernised. Obviously they were only ever doing Disney in Hong Kong anyway but maybe having bonnie on their minds have them even less enthusiasm for trying new cultures or for faking an interest at the very least. Most of us humans would tend to gravitate toward activities that felt comfortable and more like home if there’s any level of emotional turmoil or sadness. They’re still mad for going away for such a long time and leaving her, but might explain the lack of effort.

I wonder how she tries to play this off after she gets home, as we were prob in for a big braggy de-brief of the best wedding of the decade on the best ever ever half world cruise. But poor Bonnie has totally overshadowed it all in her passing, and I love that for them as they never gave a real tit about her. They treated her like a disposable cuddly toy they could pick up and put down when they felt like it. If one of my pets passed away whilst I was away it would sour the whole thing, intrigued to how she’ll front it out though, prob denial mode and bolshy as ever giving zero f’s about anything other than them two. ETA - I don’t mean that I love the passing of a dog if it come across that way, i just meant the karma of her banging on about this for months and being insufferable, but in the end the one thing we can’t control happens and they couldn’t be with her because they are selfish arseholes.

Just my opinion but I certainly would not call their treatment of Bonnie ‘neglect’. She was fed, warm, loved, and whilst Brogan clearly couldn’t be bothered to take her on any long walks and wanted to go away a lot this is still not neglect.
Even when going away Bonnie would be with her mum who I do think would’ve taken decent care of Bonnie. I’d rather that than being in a kennel all the time..

The short sightedness of booking a two month trip when you have a dog nearing the end of her expected lifespan is for me the worst part.

They can’t paint themselves as being such dog lovers if they couldn’t think to put Bonnie first for the sake of their ‘dream’ wedding, to get married on their anniversary etc and for that long of a trip.

They could’ve gone away for 2/3 weeks, got married and had an amazing honeymoon and could’ve still come home to to dog they supposedly loved so much. Yes Bonnie’s passing could’ve still happened in that time and that would’ve been quite unlucky, but why take the risk?

I have no doubt they did love Bonnie, but not as much as they claim. Their actions just don’t add up.

I don’t think they will get another dog. Now the covid situation is over a dog no longer suits their lifestyle of travelling so much.

RIP sweet Bonnie.

I’m not going to lie, I found a lot of the ‘they don’t care about Bonnie’ and ‘she is neglected’ posts a tad dramatic and over the top but knowing she died without them both with her is so sad. She’d be wondering why they weren’t there.
Exactly my thoughts. Personally I have much more of an issue with family vloggers who use their children, who can’t consent, to earn a living. As far as B&B are concerned it’s more the entertainment factor and drama that is of interest, plus I enjoy cruise holidays, which is probably how they came to be recommended to me in the first place. I do find the whole ‘Influencer/Instagram’ lifestyle very strange and a sad way to make a living but if there are no children involved then it is a choice they have made for themselves. I think there should be legislation to stop family vlogging and protect children who are too young to understand the consequences of what they are doing.

Yeh I don’t agree with them leaving Bonnie for 2+months when she was so old. I have an 8month old puppy and my partner is firmly in agreement that when the time comes in 13-15 years we can kiss all holidays goodbye for those years til he is gone. I think they loved Bonnie in their own way but I don’t think it was the best lifestyle for the dog.
I hope they don’t get a puppy, it would royally boil my piss if they started a whole “puppy journey” which I know she wouldn’t cope with, having to get up hourly until the puppy was toilet trained etc

The upside would be her stepping in pee and poop.

I dog and kitty sit for various friends and neighbours. Nobody around here with pets goes away more than two weeks. Period. If someone has to be gone an extended period for work or a family emergency, normally there’s a partner staying home with the pet.

As others have said, people with pets wouldn’t contemplate a 2-3 month holiday. You just don’t leave them that long. The fact that they even booked the trip in the first place while owning a dog speaks volumes.
We had a 3 week family holiday booked back in 2022 which had been pushed back due to Covid - we got our dog during lockdown and said that would be the last family holiday we would take - someone would need to stay to be with the dog. We were very lucky that we had an excellent dog sitter for the 3 weeks and he had an amazing time but we missed him every single day. The guilt was there even though we knew he was absolutely fine. We now have 2 dogs and won’t be doing holidays without someone being at home with them.

I don't think it happened early in the trip, I imagine it happened somewhere between Monday and Thursday, hence why there was no Thursday upload and no notice until Friday morning. The one thing I'm happy to give Brogan praise for is her consistent uploading (though it did falter slightly on this cruise). Why take a break weeks after the event?

The "off" vibes she was giving early in the trip might have been Flogan related.

Very sad, don’t think it was ‘planned’ as nothing is gonna take the shine off the next few vlogs like a pet dying. Part of her will be heartbroken of course but another part will be raging that the unpacking and haul vlogs will have this elephant in the room about bonnie dying. Feel sorry for them but also they knew the risks they were taking by leaving her. This whole cruise has been a flop with a sad ending.

I have 5 pugs, before them we had 3 golden retrievers. We go away 2 times a year and spend a small fortune on their kennels, the same kennels we have used for over 22 years. We are all different but we spend every waking minute with our dogs who are aged between 5 & 8 years old. They are my babies but we love our holidays and pay £1500 plus for their care. They are in constant contact and send pictures. Dogs in my experience are happy as long as someone is loving and feeding them. I don’t believe this was planned. It’s horrible timing and I don’t think we would leave our dogs once older (our retrievers were 12, 13 & 15 when they passed away) we didn’t holiday for a few years when they were elderly. But I think this could happen to anyone. We go away in a weeks time for 2 weeks and my heart would break if we lost one of ours but I wouldn’t blame my self. I spend 95% of my time with them as we both work from home. It’s just incredibly sad. Loosing a pet is gut wrenching. I wonder if they flew home already or have just stayed on the ship. They are home Monday I think. It’s gone so quickly.

Start of the cruise upstaged on here by flogan, end of the cruise is marred by losing Bonnie. This cruise has been an absolute clusterfuck for them both as she clearly hated it apart from Disney. Think Bonnie did her a favour as I doubt we now won’t see anymore vlogs from the cruise, couldn’t have come at a better time for brogan as the footage was probably tit

Just feeding and keeping a dog in shelter doesn't constitute to them not being neglectful, hostages are often fed and kept indoors too! They have emotionally neglected her. Worsened by the fact they new full well she was declining in health.

Rescue animals tend to have psychological/attachment issues and however competent a dog sitter Julie was, it doesn't take away from the fact Bonnie's actual owners weren't there when she was dying. They knew full well she was coming to the end of her life as they'd referenced it in many videos. Bonnie would not have understood they would be back eventually and she died thinking she was abandoned by them.

Brogan is not a regular P&O customer like you or me, she has a professional relationship with them and with knowledge of the negative publicity it could garner if they refused, I'm sure they would have allowed them to postpone their trip without facing financial penalties.

As someone who had to put my life on hold when my dog went blind suddenly 18 months before his passing, to me they are neglectful owners because they had selfishly chosen to put themselves first - just like they always do!

I read on something that, for a dog, every 56 days is a year. Makes me feel very sad.
the lack of Bonnie references and the lack of buying her toys is now so obvious. Brogan barely went into any shop without buying another thing. I think something happened near their Australia stops and whether that was sickness and then the event happened a bit later.

This ‘trip of a lifetime’ has truly been an absolute tit show despite her trying to sell it to everyone. Genuinely couldn’t help but feel so shortchanged if I’d spent that much money.

Missed ports, endless sea days, the tender port waiting situation, nasty cough, dirty old pensioners that ignore the hand washing rules, ship politics, power outages, no water, norovirus and to top it all off you have Clive, the ship narrator who really is that arrogant to think his POV needs to be heard and seen by absolutely everyone.

Not to even mention poor Bonnie ❤
She deserved better than those two self centred lumps of lard.

I know it’s been said but it’s blatantly obvious that this World Cruise was for engagement. A trip to NZ and Australia (the places they truly enjoyed) just didn’t sound flashy enough. It’s mindblowing.
