It really does. Despite my less than savory takes on this forum regarding Brit, I idolised her as a child and teen. I saw her on her first ever European tour in Germany, pretty small venue, no fancy theatrics back then, just her. She wasn't incredible but you could tell she had spirit and drive, and her dancing was on point. I had no idea she'd go on to become a superstar.

It's very sad as a former superfan to see her like this.

I promise you’re not missing much my lovely! I have alopecia and honestly wigs are a massive PITA. You have to condition them and rehair them and generally to glue them on every morning, plus you can’t really go out in the rain/swim/workout in them and they are super hot.

I imagine Britney’s extensions are pretty uncomfortable too. Anything you put in your hair is gonna press on your head when you lie down and it takes loads of upkeep. It’s probably why hers look so bad as synthetic hair needs a lot of work.

But really short hair could be a cool option, I’ve seen loads of women who look amazing with a crop!

I’m always surprised by the press slating her looks because I think she looks pretty damn good given her history. Although it’s hard to tell with all the filters and being a millionaire probably helps. 🤣

Her expressions are a bit disquieting but that’s not so much looks as mannerism. But there is so much misogyny regarding her aging and women aging in general. I like actors like Lisa Kudrow who were brave enough to allow themselves to age without surgery.

Some prescription drugs can do that and may be a factor (lithium for example can do all kinds of odd things neurologically). So can ECT. But it is sad to see how extreme the change is. It looks almost like there was some sort of event which just caused her to crack. Hard to tell if it is temporary or not.

I think she's very obviously still a beautiful woman but she looks scruffy and unkempt. The ratty extensions, the heavy eye makeup that looks like she hasn't washed off her makeup from the day before, the dated 00s tacky and cheap clothes. As someone else said she looks like she doesn't take care of herself
