Never really come to the TV threads but I really like Jordan ❤️ I think in this day and age having the pronouns discussion was worthwhile, I don’t believe in all that nonsense but it if keeps from anyone being offended I guess it’s a good thing. I feel like Farida had no bloody clue what they were going on about last night, she’s in her whole wee world half the time and it’s quite funny to watch her facial expressions.

Hallie couldn’t win no matter what she did. She said she was trans so people are complaining that she’s doing it for attention/a reaction. If she hadn’t said anything, she would have been called duplicitous, people were already saying how “obvious” it was she’s trans. They share beds in big brother too, don’t they? I imagine that would be weighing on her mind too, that someone could kick off if they found out they’d been sharing a bed with a trans person.
If she felt comfortable telling people, which she clearly did, then I think it’s good that she just mentioned it in conversation and people seemed to be really accepting without going over the top. I think she seems nice.

Spit your venom on those other forums you engage in baby cakes x

We good here without it ♥🌈

Watching him live last night. Him and Trish make a funny pairing
When I saw Trish VT I was like yesss throw in a posh tory and we might see some fireworks or drama but I was loving her spending time with Henry & Jordan, I think they'll all have a great little friendship 🥰

I was thinking isn’t it a bit weird comments saying why would Hallie have to announce she’s a woman if she was one but yet when we didn’t know for sure there was so many comments questioning it

This exactly !!
They share beds, bathrooms, toilets etc. It's a confined space. Who's to say someone wouldn't accidentally walk in on her ?

If SHE was most comfortable telling people and having it out in the open that's all that really matters !!

That’s why I gave up with the original live stream years ago. Any time it got remotely interesting it went silent.

Tell that to those of us that stayed up until 5am, when Marcus / Dark Horse's obsession with Irish lassie Nóirín spilled over.

I watched the series that Nadia won in 2004 and I honestly don't remember there being much said about her being trans at all.

... except for the tabloid front page stories with puns like "Go Nads" and "Portugeezer".

I think that back in 2004 she was treated somewhat affectionately, but still along the lines of a freak show. 20 years later, the critical voices are more pointlessly critical and angry.

Sadly, the world is more divisive and fucked now than it was in 2004. You can see this played out in so many things.

Trisha is good times. I like that little group, and thought it was refreshing to see them talk about and acknowledge their differences without dismissing them or each other. Although I do think Henry downplayed the whole “I’m a Tory” in his intro.

Chanel is it, the blonde Welsh one? and Hallie were kicking that cushion in the bathroom over the whole ''least kind'' line up, it just reminded me of Nikki Graham battering the beanbag in the garden after Suzie nominated Nikki lol.
I mean Chanel probably wasn't copying Nikki but it just really reminded me of that and I hope people don't play up and act how some of the previous housemates have got on just to try and stay relevant.
Though its early days and I'm enjoying it so far!
Do we know how many weeks its on for? :)
