It was definitely better than the last episode. I think the Gene scenes were better than the BB ones. Jesse was looking pretty old, had to double take at first. I don't think they added much - everyone knew Mike was Saul's PI and the asking about Lalo was hardly worth bothering with.

I'm wondering if Kim blew him off again which is why Gene decided to break bad for a second time.

there's a guy on youtube called pete peppers that basically reviews each episode and breaks it down; they're really good and interesting, especially if you feel like you missed something or didn't understand etc

The taxi guy figured out Jimmy/Gene was Saul and to get him off his case, he helped him with the theft con so that he had something over on him. He was bringing the security guy the cinnamon bun to time how long it took him to eat it, to see how long he’d have where he wasn’t watching the camera and the guy could steal the stuff.

That’s what I got from it anyway, I could be wrong

I didn't love this episode but great to see Walt and Jesse. It's strange to see Saul/Jimmy without care for the last guy they were going to rob even though he seemed sad about it at the bar. I thought he was going to pull the plug but he seems pretty driven.

Ooh yeah. I bet she comes across a video of a certain lawyer’s adverts on YouTube.

I read a theory on Reddit that the worn out tapes in the intro are due to Jimmy watching them over and over. Every season they degrade in quality and this season they’re broken.
